I like to poke fun at this jacka$$ as much as the next guy. He’s been a cartoon character his entire career.

But on a serious note this should be a reality check for the wrestling community. And as an aside, I’m going to leave @Corby2 out of this criticism because he has a personal relationship with the family, I think, and that obviously affects your public comments on anything AJ. Understandable IMO.

But the infantilization of him by the various media outlets, trivializing consistently anti-social behavior has been disgraceful. The attitude that many carried, that we “need” characters to raise the profile of the sport is disgusting. The fact that we have a bunch of fans at nationals, including children, cheering for him to put on a narcissistic display- friggin’ parenting at its worst. The cast of characters at FLO should take a long hard look at themselves and decide whether they want to keep selling their soul like this.

I don’t want to hear it about not knowing that this was coming. Has had a kidnapping charge dismissed. There’s still video in the internet of his phone call with a girl he sent an unsolicited d!c pick to, berating her and calling her a c@m sucking wh@re. Now this. Can anyone say with a straight face that he’s not doing some lasting damage to some women? And this is on top of his numerous other transgressions.

I always viewed wrestling as the most honorable competitive sport at the highest levels. Sure, plenty of low class participants at the entry levels, but the crucible of the sport forged some very remarkable and impressive people character wise. The sport builds character and the longer you’re involved the better. But it seems lately that the people that promote the sport would rather wallow in the mud.

This mirrors society as a whole where entertainment value far outweighs honesty, integrity, and character to the masses. But why do we need to play to the masses? I, and many others, are perfectly happy with wrestling as a niche sport.

Old man rant over, but needed to get it off my chest. I’ll go yell at some clouds now.
Not sure Flo has a soul left to sell. Many of the same folks who overhyped Downey and tried to sue Willie into oblivion.

Besides, it's not like Ferrari slid into women wrestlers' DMs while on payroll. THAT would be too much.

20k cash, but the rest has to be covered in assets, I believe.
Not in Nebraska. Just 20k cash.

From a Nebraska based law firm: https://www.acwlaw.com/blog/how-bond-works-in-nebraska/

"The primary purpose of a bond is to allow the defendant to return to their daily life while waiting to attend all the required legal proceedings associated with their criminal charges.

When a defendant posts bond, they provide a monetary guarantee that acts as collateral for their commitment to comply with court procedures and to appear in court as required. Nebraska recognizes several types of bonds, including:

  • Cash bond: A cash bond requires payment of the full amount of bond set by the Court.
  • Percentage bond: A percentage bond allows the defendant to be released by paying some percentage of the bond amount in cash. Percentage bonds often require payment of 10% of the total bond amount.
  • Personal recognizance bond: A personal recognizance bond allows the defendant to be released with a promise to pay and to appear in court without paying any money upfront.
Unlike other states, it's important to note that Nebraska does not follow a commercial bail system. This means that defendants can't hire a bail bondsman to pay the full amount of the bond to secure the defendant's release."

Let contemplate this. Dylan Palacio posed as a female and told AJ "she" wanted to meet up. AJ is on the run for choking (allegedly) his pregnant fiancé among other serious charges. But AJ is so vain that he actually believes there is a female that wants to meet up with someone on the run who abused (Allegedly) his pregnant fiancé and is facing so many serious charges. "Yep......she wants me!" followed by..... "I can't believe it was a trap". I'm doubting his MENSA application will be approved. .....:). Good Grief

Do we really know whether Palacio (or whoever) is telling the truth?

Don’t know if Palacio is telling the truth or not. But if Ted Bundy could find a woman to marry him during his fourth trial and a 80 year old Charles Manson was able to get a 26 year old woman to sign a marriage license, it wouldn’t surprise me if an actual woman had wanted to meet up with AJ.

It also makes you wonder what kind of shenanigans were kept quiet during his time in Bakersfield.

Ferrari got Percentage Bond

I am reading that without the commercial bail system, typically Ferrari would get 90% ($18k) of the bond back at the final conclusion of the case, assuming he doesn’t screw up again. The court would keep $2000 for administrative fees.

Like the Lincoln Park Pirates they always collect their fee.

To me way, hey, tow them away
The Lincoln Park Pirates are we
From Willmette to Gary
There's nothing so hairy
And we always collect our fee

So he was crawling across the driveway because he was looking for evidence or was he just too injured to stand. And the Speeding, Evading, Recklessness and running away all get tossed because they are all fruit of the poison girlfriend. He thought she was chasing him to finish the job and the severe concussion she gave him made him believe the flashing lights and sirens were all in his head. Poor guy.....we've all been there. . . :)

Criminal defense lawyers advocating for their clients in the media often try to sell the "innocent until proven guilty" & "beyond a reasonable doubt" standards as the general public's obligation, but the public aren't jurors and it's more than fair for wrestling fans to deny Ferrari the benefit of the doubt, given all they've seen, in assessing Ferrari's guilt. There's video of the woman telling her story and you can assess her credibility vs Ferrari's credibility and character. Just because you're suddenly a criminal defendant doesn't mean you're immune from people having opinions about your guilt. And just because a jury finds you not guilty doesn't mean they found you innocent.

Yep. It's about time the fans simply give him the double birds split.
