This is where you throw the entire BBN vault at Rosser or bring back Milan for a 5th year.

You need a break. You're starting to really lose it my man. Anyone in your life available to give you a hug?
I’ve always liked l SOS. But come on dude get on board but we have to have a unified front here. I don’t think we need to make any list of players that pope has missed on because he’s basically always in every recruitment since he’s been at Kentucky. He’s always had to settle for fourth or fifth option.. and now he’s getting to the point where he just skipping over what should be 1st through four options he’s just going directly to fit the option. I mean, I never seen a guy ever put it all on the line for Stokes and that’s what he did and people don’t realize it doesn’t really matter about anything else. Everything was about Stokes for Pope.. he failed and now he’s gonna have to like coach these guys up to a point where I don’t think they can be and coach his *** off which I don’t think he’s capable of doing. But seriously they don’t need to be more or lists. He needed to pull off a ridiculously well put together class, a freshman and a hell of a. Transfer class.. his best player in the transfer class is severely limited. All of them have big-time limitations.. they’re too short for their position. Can’t shoot can’t defend. It’s what I call being dynamically limited. Meaning most of our players are good at one or maybe two things.. those are the kinds of guys Pope tends to get. Really his best player was a guy who left after his sophomore year to go back to the school that pope coached at. And now what he’s doing is because he couldn’t get it done this year. He’s trying to put off and to make it look like he’s building over a two-year period. I mean he’s brought in a team that should return most of it next year and then he’s got the one recruit who may or may not make it now with his cousin going to Texas, but he might pull his commitment and join them I wouldn’t be surprised.. thought he’s trying to do is he’s trying to say look you know this year we’re gonna try and get it right and next year is when we make our run and that’s just not gonna fly man. I mean, how many of you have extra years on your life to wait out while this guy tries to figure out how to get it right? I mean it’s a serious question because since our last final for a lot of people in my family, a lot of people friends people I know they’re gone man they’ve passed on. This is serious business. This isn’t like UK cowboy pump and sunshine till the cows come home. This is a blatant waste of three years hopefully only three years.. I don’t think this A.D. has the Cahone the fire pope if he’s a sweet 16 Coach. That’s not making progress to the final four though.

And I’ll leave with this. Pope is doing very little too develop. We had a chance this year to go and play competition to see where we can make changes before it even gets to October.. instead just coach of ours, took his team to freaking where the biggest party on earth never ends. Unless there’s some tournament that we’re part of in Vegas he shouldn’t be taking the team recruiting.. and you know the NBA players he needs to invest in are all the studs that have played at Kentucky. Not these guys that can’t make the NBA.. friggin set something up with freaking SGA and Kat. And I forgot the one thing that pathetic loser from Georgia their clown coach that pope loves. Mark fox. I think you can win some games. I think we can be a sweet 16 team that’s all Pope has to do that’s all he has in him. Spears was a legit target donor buddy of mine. He was excited about that guy now he’s like WTF.?

Do you ever take a break from whining and complaining? Throw what vault? What are you even talking about? Do you just want to give good players a billion dollars just so Kentucky can have a good effing CBB team?

Dude, you need to get some perspective.

Still not a good luck, cals best player within 3 was AD, scheyers best player within 3 was banchero. Cals best within 3 at arkansas is acuff
Cal had what, 10 top 3 recruiting classes in 15 years here? Had the best team 3-4 times...one title. Cal took the entire UK recruiting class plus all the returning players to Arkansas, has pulled kids like Acuff, and continues to **** bricks in the post season. In other words....Big Whoop

We were banged up the last two years. No one gives Pope a pass, but with some luck health wise, he had two damn good teams. Keep hating. We are gonna be good this season

And got waxed by both legit title threats they faced.

All Cal has done at Arkansas is prove we were right for wanting to move on from him. 2 sweet sixteens, two years in a row proving hes no longer a national threat.

Guess what else we were right about? Mark Pope being a bad hire.

I hope the new AD actually has some balls. But he seems pretty conservative to me. And he’s more about money than winning imo. So much like Barnhardt as long as the atheltic department is profitable i worry he’ll hesitate to make changes.

I can put together a similar list of "misses" for any coach in America that goes after the top kids

But the hit rate for top kids is very bad right now. We're talking like a batter hitting .075.

You simply cant get turned down *this* much as a Kentucky head coach, especially when we are offering big contracts.

Some people still love bitching about Cal, but that guy was getting everyone he wanted the first 8 or so years. Batting like .950 lol. And he did it without NIL. He only dropped down to like .650 when Duke started to give mansions out to recruits.

Hampton and Mom were nice gets, but since then we've gone cold again. Hes not gonna last if our teams talent is hovering in that top25-35 range.

Guys, I’m trying to understand something. I have been a UK basketball fan all my life. With that said should our fanbase avoid criticizing the coach and his staff because they haven’t done a good job?

His 1st year with very little time, he put together a better team than he did last year with a full year to recruit. Everyone knew jq would not play and his point guard was garbage before the injury

He either has to kill it in the portal or high school ranks and he’s doing neither. Evaluation hasnt been the best either. There’s tons of kids in the portal every year…even under the radar guys that would crush it at high majors. Some coaches dont get the guys that everyone else wants but they’re great evaluators and make up for it. Pope doesn’t do that either.

I think he’s toast. But hey, hope i’m wrong.

How many Championships did that .950 average get us?

It got us 1 title, 2 title appearances, 4 final4s, and like 7 Elite 8s. We were contenders almost every single year, we had more wins than almost everyone else in the span. We were the "IT" team. And despite Cals coaching shortcomings, it took a heck of a lot of effort by the NCAA and officials to keep us from not dominating even more.

Regardless, you need talent. Everyone here should be in agreement on that.

And let's keep in mind. Scheyer hasn't gotten to the title game yet with all his talent (and help from the NCAA). Self has choked more than not, I think kansas lost in the opening weekend like 6 of the last 8 tournaments. Coach K might have 5 titles but its was over 42 years. Jay Wright was seen as a choker before landing Brunson, Hart, Bridges to win 2 titles (and those guys also just won an NBA title). Billy D, the supposed must-get coach, won 2 titles at Florida because he returned everyone, didnt do a whole lot else.

Theres a lot of things inwish this fanbase would have a better grasp on, but at the top of it, is just how hard it is to win 6 single elimination tournament games in a row, in a sport that's very streaky, hoping you can be the least injured team in that stretch. Even if you have the top talent every year, you just are not gonna win a F4 more than like 20% of the time.. unless you are Dan Hurley apparently. Lol.

Everyone is. We have talent this year. Some Pope haters refuse to acknowledge that
