Out of bird feeders!? I’ve read all th tricks and tried a couple to no avail. My solution is a pellet gun but my daughters won’t let me. Any for sure remedies from y’all?

Tall Shepards crook with slinkies threaded around the straight part. Then baffles above the slinkies. It works for the most part. Every now and then one gets by all that but it is really rare.

upside down cone around the poll. Then make where they can't jump to it from a tree. Mine works beautifully. MY wife ordered it and I put it on the poll, but I had to keep sliding it up or there was this one squirrel that could jump way higher than the rest. Google is your friend, this one us $9.98

I'm pretty sure that isn't a real squirrel

You and my dad need to get together. He has studied this topic extensively. This is now him at 5:00 in the morning when the squirrels come out:

Best way found so far? Stop refilling them. Further research pending.

That's the same setup that worked for me. That and not hanging feeders close to any plants they can climb and jump from.

Years ago, I tried trapping them and releasing them far away. I gave up after I caught about 20 in one month,
So, I made a squirrel spinner like this, for them instead. It's mildly entertaining to see them learn to fly. It takes a little time to get the balance right. The dried corn should be available at your local Co-op.

I have one of these. It works. Kinda spendy at $40ish but you recoup your investment over time due to the squirrels not dumping all the bird seed on the ground.

I subscribe to the squirrels have to eat too theory, so I add some peanuts to the bird seed.

Milk jug. Cut the bottom out and tie a string from the feeder to the jug so it hangs. The squirrels can climb to the feeder but can't reach due to being inside the jug.
