Apologies if this has been covered. I know other people keep better track of this stuff than I do.
Were the required donations for Men's Basketball raised this year? Because if so, it feels like they're trying to pull one over on us.
We got an email stating the following:
THE RENEWAL DEADLINE IS 3 DAYS AWAY

There are just 3 days remaining to renew your Mississippi State Men's Basketball season tickets before the July 10 renewal deadline.

As a season ticket holder, you're part of what makes every game special. Renew today to keep your seats and secure your place for every big moment this season.

Plus, general seating season ticket prices remain unchanged from the 2025-26 season, giving Bulldog fans another year of incredible basketball at the same great value.
Then when I get to looking closer, the annual contribution has gone up from $3,000 to $3,800 (that's 6 lower level seats and 2 upper deck). Now, I can read that bolded sentence and figure out that "general seating season ticket prices remain unchanged" is a technically factual statement. But it's at best misleading.
Those 2 upper level tickets nearly doubled in price while "remaining unchanged." I didn't have a per-seat donation on the upper deck seats last year.

Lower in the email, in the "fine print," it states this:
ADDITIONAL PER TICKET AND/OR ORDER CHARGES MAY APPLY TO ANY ORDER

I don’t think mine went up. That said, the bolded part says season ticket prices remained unchanged but you said the annual contribution went up. I could see where the ticket prices could stay the same but the donation increased, and the statement about ticket prices being unchanged would be accurate. 2 different things.

Yes, those are 2 different things. But it’s not “the same great value” if I have to pay more, regardless of which bucket it goes into.

I can’t believe people pay that kind of money for this product.

What do we think is the tipping point? $5k? $10k? $50k?

We now pay for the rights to pay for tickets to watch players that we pay to attend the school we paid to attend.

Remind me again how we win?
