Being a Jets fan I'm used to watching other NFL teams to see good football. This is how I feel watching Argentina after the USMNT debacle last night.
Argentina was doing nothing and then decided to play.
It was like watching Popeye eating his spinach, amirite?
Felt like it was another instance where VAR got it right (on the disallowed Egypt goal)...possession changed on a clear foul, and that change of possession led to a goal. It was consistent with the way that VAR is used...I guess a case could be made that VAR should ignore fouls that occurred under "x" scenario (in the other half of the field?) that led to a goal, but I'd rather they use it to get the call correct in a spot like that.
It was close, but I would not give a PK on this play, in OT of the knockout stage of the World Cup.
OTOH, Team USA was doing nothing and then decided to do even less.
