They do have 3 real good RBsEven with the new triple option QB offense that they are running???
You don’t think that a TE will do well?

Bro… everyone is talking about the 3 QB backfield set that is about to be rolled outThey do have 3 real good RBs
Yeah of course you now have 5 star WRs but your telling me Winkler didn’t contribute and come up clutch in games last year? Almost 200 yards Receiving and 2 TDs. Not bad for a TE who’s got two 5 star WRs and a solid run game infront of him. Can’t tell me an offensive mind like Jordan wouldn’t love to add a larger more athletic TE to the mix.MC hasn't used a TE in the traditional sense maybe 2021 when they had some on the roster from Lenti's era. They will welcome in another tuition and maybe have a couple TE packages installed but if you are a traditional every down TE your at the wrong school with the amount of WRs they have at the school.
As I said he had a couple TE packages installed but he was far from an every down TE. Winkler was an amazing player, hardest worker in the team, but his main contribution came at LB. There has been plenty in the building that could be an every down traditional TE if needed I just think he prefers WR sets. If this IN kid comes in and is a legit TE great but with Burrell, Thorton and Sims back and a couple Sophs to be WRs with big upsides I don't see the offense changing much from last year. IWi

Good observation. Lynch has both the personnel and the imagination. He's a very creative play caller.after watching last year's game I came away with them not having the personnel or imagination to score enough points
@Topiarydan1 can you now post a picture of the perspective offense? From a reliable MC source - man this is a tough D
Will see if I can get him to forward - and work on his handwriting. I have to remember he went to MC so its always going to be a challenge@Topiarydan1 can you now post a picture of the perspective offense?
Thank You in advance
LWN finds this amusing, but he himself doesn't know the difference between 'prospective' and 'perspective.'Will see if I can get him to forward - and work on his handwriting. I have to remember he went to MC so its always going to be a challenge
Your verbal bullets are of no match to my armor made of self confidence!LWN finds this amusing, but he himself doesn't know the difference between 'prospective' and 'perspective.'
Who was the most talented team ever than? Perhaps 2026 MC?
I am not saying they will clock everyone, but I think we are more likely to get their A game each week, and with the talent disparity between them and everyone else it's a recipe for disaster for everyone else.
Not discounting ESL, Rice, Loyola, JC, Provi, or Naz. Its the opposite I procount those schools especially ESL
Had the 2023 team beat LA in week 9 they would have hands down been the best I've seen. I think the 2022 team may have my vote. They were so dominant, even with Dupree out for the whole playoffs. Even with the scare with St.Rita in the semis in the frozen tundra they came out on top and with a healthy Dupree I think they would have not been in any danger. Close second would be 1998.Of all-time it is easily the 1950 team. In the IHSA era, I am going to go with the 1996 team. Blew everyone out with the exception of JCA and LA. Even that team had to win at LA on a last second FG. In no way am I expecting MC to go undefeated with that gauntlet this year.
I wanted to say the 1990 team as that is the one that radicalized me, but they had too many close games.Had the 2023 team beat LA in week 9 they would have hands down been the best I've seen. Went back and looked at some HUDL film. Marian Catholic game was 42-7 at the end of the 1st quarter. Holy ****.In looking at box scores from that year, it appears the most they could have had was 7. During the regular season, they never led by 40 points in the following games
MCC
Benet
JC
Marist
Viator
In the playoffs, the never led by 40 points in the following games
Lake Forest
Lemont
I couldn't find the box scores for Boylen or King, but based on the final scores, it is feasible that they were running clocks at some point.
I am not discounting how good that team was. I saw them play on a couple occasions and they were pretty darn good.
