he had get his tiny, grimy, rapey little hands into the soccer team and ruin everything.

I am in Europe now and they are laughing at us.
You poor thing. Now we're blaming Trump for our mediocre soccer team. What? Did you actually believe we had a good team? That's it. Make another post. Let it all out. Lmao. Our soccer team sucks, and everyone knows it.

Rather have air conditioning and them paying their fair share for NATO.

do they hate Trump enough to force us to close all our military bases on Europe. They would help our debt situation.

when you compare population sizes it’s pretty obvious the US doesn’t put their best athletes into the sport.

Saying the USMNT "sucks" is like saying the #17 golfer in the world sucks because he isn't Scottie Scheffler. There are 211 national teams. Being around 15th-20th means you're better than roughly 190 countries. We absolutely have room to improve, but "sucks" isn't even close to accurate. Our biggest obstacle is getting more meaningful matches against elite competition instead of spending most of our competitive calendar in CONCACAF.

We didn't sneak our way into the round of 16, we dominated our way in.

Exactly.

They are much more competitive against their peer teams than, say, Clemson football is to theirs.

But did they really play a superior team and win?

I think they went as far as was expected. Got a cherry draw and folded the first time they had a chance to step up a level.

in four years we will have a democrat president so I am sure the team will advance to the round of 8.

Didn't say I wasn't extremely dissapointed, they completely folded which was quite surprising. I wasn't overly confident we'd win, but certain we'd put up a fight. Tillman and Berhalter seemed to be the only two who brought that killer instinct with them off the bus. CP was the biggest dissapointment of the tourny. :(

I like the way Berhalter plays, but he's just not good enough to be a key piece if we want to be an elite team. I do still think Reyna can be the guy we need in the middle.
Our defense is adequate when we are able to dominate possession and all they have to do is react and make a few key plays per game, but we need more talent back there if we are going to be consistently competitive against the top teams.

Same, I've never stayed anywhere in Europe that didn't have air conditioning. The only thing different than most upscale US hotels is the average room is smaller unless you opt for a suite, like I've done a couple times.
