Ginger ale, for those who like it, is extremely divisive. I'm a Canada Dry person myself too.

Why is soccer giving me so many reasons to continue hating it? When the ref makes a dumb interpretation of what a red card is and changes the entire trajectory of this game and possibly the next. What a joke. I can't help but think that extreme bias was used against the US in making the call.

Now can someone explain why the crowd was singing Country Roads after the win? What is the significance when the game was played in the San Francisco Bay Area? Does the team have an unusually large number of players from Beckley or Morganton?

Like Freebird with the US Men's Hockey Team, Country Roads has become the unofficial theme song of the men's soccer team.

Why? Not sure. But they've been doing it for a while now.

And I did love see Poch singing along with it as he was hugging players, other coaches, etc.

It doesn't matter that "he was going for the ball," or that it was unintentional.

Is gravity excessive force? He was knocked off balance and fell awkwardly on him. He wasn’t making a tackle and wasn’t looking what was underneath his legs as he fell.

BS - he didn’t lunge at the opponent. His eyes were on the ball the entire time. Horrible ******* ******** red card.

BS - he didn’t lunge at the opponent. His eyes were on the ball the entire time. Horrible ******* ******** red card

FIFA has its favorites for sure. Took away 3 goals from Croatia to ensure Portugal advanced.

It was a terrible call. There have been far worse fouls that were not given red cards during the tourney. It was simply a bad call.

In a vacuum, I think that's much more likely a yellow than a red, though a red is not way out of line. With the similarity to the Messi play, absolutely they made right by letting him play.

Anyone else watching Brazil/Norway just waiting for Haaland to do something amazing? Seems like both teams are playing for that - deny Haaland and counter for Brazil, possess and look to squeeze out opportunities for Norway.

You blink and he scores. He looks like he’s loafing sometimes and then just switches to 5th gear in a flash.

I told my 78 year old dad who gets bored watching soccer to definitely watch last night's England / Mexico match as "there is a legitimate chance of a full blown riot and watching the bad form of history being made" with 80,000 fans in the stands

I'm not a big soccer fan but that was a helluva game.

I've heard numerous talking heads say how the stars are all showing up and scoring goals for their countries, except for Pulisic.

Pulisic can have a huge impact with his play making. In years past, he was the only real goal threat. Balogun gives the US a finisher they’ve never had to go with Pulisic
