Same thing as always: When you see the singlet with "Penn State" on the front, you already know what's going to happen on the mat. 😂 And guess what? We don't need any "special finals" singlet for Saturday night because we already are special.

*Uniform available in all states except Oklahoma, Iowa, Ohio, and Nebraska 😂

Does anyone remember what year we replaced the PSU on the back with the chipmunk? Was it when we switched from Champion to Nike?

From what I’ve dug up, it happened around 2008-2010 or so. The team switched over to ASICS made singlets and that’s roughly when they ditched the PSU letters in favor of the logo.

At the end of my freshman year in 1983....was when the chipmunk logo first came out.

Tom — I’ll merge this into the social media thread then but just drawing awareness to it now:

@GregPickel, I don't think you should merge this into the Social Media thread. While placing it there wouldn't be inappropriate, I've always felt that if a story was big enough to warrant its own thread, then it should be in a standalone thread. With the switch from Nike to adidas, fans of each PSU team have questions as to how each respective team will be uniformed in their coming season. The tweet you posted answers that for PSU wrestling.

I was prepared to open this thread and see something completely different that was going to be a major adjustment for those of us who wore the signature blue with the white stripe. And I would have been ok with it, but it's great to see tradition win out. #WeAre
