What a dismal failure Trump and his celebration is. They always said he could **** up a county fair. Had no chance at a state fair.
Adding insult to injury, some States even had their taxpayers fund their Governor's trips to fly to DC to make a cameo appearance to appease Trump.

As an example, Mississippi North Governor Reynolds flew there with her delegation for a few photo ops.
Perhaps she just used Fed Covid funding again?

This is the great American state fyre.

The more videos I see, wow. The “booths” are little more than some folding chairs and some trade show backdrops.

Sam’s siding and gutter has better booths in the varied industries building.

PabloReports: Why do you think no one is showing up to Trump’s 250th—

Olszewski: His party sucks. There’s nothing fun to do. Even Vanilla Ice canceled at the last minute because the weather was supposed to be bad, but it turned out to be just fine. You throw a bad party, and no one is going to come.

PabloReports: I assume you’re not going.

Olszewski: No. I will not be there with anything specifically aligning with the president. Anyone who makes this about himself as opposed to the 250th anniversary of the country deserves to party alone.

First hand accounts.

Just got back from DC and the Great American State Fair.

A few observations:
- the city felt very safe, lots of military and police around. We even walked around the city at night.
- people were happy and friendly
- the state fair was actually pretty cool with the caveat for the states that didn’t participate, it was obvious and sad. Especially Alaska, they could have had an awesome display.
- Florida and Arizona won for the best displays in my opinion
- Guam won best territory in my opinion
- SpaceX had an awesome exhibit
-NASA’s was also very cool, right next to SpaceX
- the reflection pool is still green. But you can’t tell when you are a ways away and it still reflects. And it looks fine. I don’t get the drama with the pool.
- it was the busiest I have seen DC in the 4-5 times I have gone over the last 10 years. Yet everyone was very nice and friendly. And it didn’t feel over crowded. Next weekend will be different I am sure.
- they still honk their horns but it is much less now then in years past. :) Maybe something to do with people being happier?
- lots of people wearing red white and blue, nearly everyone at the fair
- the city is much cleaner than in years past
- it was obvious they are setting up a lot of stages and tents for next weekend, you can tell it’s going to be huge
- I didn’t see very many people protesting. I saw one guy at the Lincoln memorial protesting.
- the Smithsonian museums that we went to were nice and up to date.
- the Holocaust Museum was very good but sad

Overall it’s been a great experience. The only annoying thing was all of the fencing and stages and stuff being setup for next weekend but it didn’t hamper us much. Again. It was nice. You can feel the American pride.

How much more of a layup could Trump have been handed than the 250th anniversary celebration? And yet he still f*cks it up because he has to make everything about him.
Look at my posts. Acknowledge you're wrong??? Ohhh.....and wait til tomorrow.
