What are our realistic predictions for this dual? I think we should win 285, and have a chance at 133, 174 (if Henckel), 184. Maybe Block figures out SVN or Bailey turns it on against Ono.

I don’t see any scenarios where we win the dual. I’ll be happy if we don’t get shut out, honestly.

People coming back from serious/nagging injuries are not easy to predict. With that being said, unless food poisoning hits the entire PSU squad, this won't be close. Don't think it will be as bad as last year but ugly never the less.

I see two wins by Ferrari and Kueter - and both of those will be by 1-2 points. Arnold will give Henckel all he wants. Crookham or Bailey could knock off Ono in folkstyle. Any other would be a pretty big upset but who knows, maybe Van Ness has had enough wrestling?

So there’s a chance we could split 5-5 this dual? I could get behind that. Imagine we get an upset and win 6-4? The wrestling world would get insane. Bonus points going to be an issue though. I think MM is unbeatable, same with Barr and Luke likely. The other 7 there’s a chance (albeit not very likely)

If remembering right, I think he was closer to beating him in the dual with a more calculated approach. He was full on go mode against him in the tourney but had nothing left before the 3rd period. I imagine it takes a lot more gas to wrestle Van Ness full go versus your average other opponent.

He was definitely closer in the tournament. He was up with like 20 seconds to go and just had to circle and play defense but he had no energy left and got hit with his 4th? stalling call and gave up the lead. Don't remember if Van Ness got a takedown to stamp it but it was over once he got hit for stalling.

Yeah, at NCAA I wanna say he was up by 3, 4-1. Then he gave up 4 points in stealing across 4 stall calls (warning, 1, 1, 2) and lost 5-4.

For 165/174, Mesenbrink will be at whichever weight he wants with Duke at the other. It seems that 83% of the BWI board thinks James will beat out Kasak at 157. However, Smalls recently floated the possibility of Kasak dropping back down to 149 to challenge Van Ness. The new 5 for 5 has made things very interesting for the upcoming season.

He always had 1 year remaining. He was a Jr eligibility wise last year. Only wrestled at 3 NCAAs 2nd 1st 1st

Well you almost talked yourself into a 5-5 split. By December everyone's fan favorite from last year, Bailey, will be a solid favorite against Ono.
