Interesting question. Maybe think of adding West Aurora to the DVC or Oswego and Oswego East to the DVC.

Would give the Napervilles quite a challenge as 50% of the DVC isn't competitive to begin with.

Wouldn't they immediately be the smallest school in the conference and with Stagg out pretty clearly expected to be last in conference in football.

Basketball theyd likely fair better I could see as high as 2nd, but never surpassing HF. Not sure about the other sports.

I just struggle to see a school deciding to go from 1st to last in football.
Again, the whole premise of this thread it hypothetical.
I wrote this more as an answer for moving Stagg to the SSC.

1. Yes, Lemont would be the smallest. Yes, Stagg would be the largest.
2. Yes, Lemont football will be challenged more, but not last becasue of Andrew, Bradley, and Sandburg. Stagg would have a fignting chance to win some games in their conference (they were running clocked in their last 7 games last year).
3. Yes, Lemont would still make the playoffs now under new conditions with plenty of playoff points. Stagg would at least have a shot to get to 3 wins.
4. Most other Lemont sports, Is baseball/softball sick of going 18-0 every year? Girls soccer and Volleyball going undefeated? The rest of the sudent body would be challenged. Stagg finishes in the bottom 3 of the SWSC of every sport but Boys Soccer.

I am wishing for Stagg to have more success, Lemont is the most logical solution for this to happen, not saying it will.

I understand the premise of the thread lol we're just getting in some banter with a little more than a month until the season. I did one too and mine is more implausible than the Lemont one, I was just taking yours more serious because its not necessarily unreasonable.

That said you got to the point. You think Lemont would come in over Sandburg, Bradley, and Andrew while I think Lemont would be behind all three. They'd have to play the games for sure.

Great trade for Stagg, and with the playoff changes it might make sense to go ahead and do it. Im sure we'll have to be sure the playoff expansion is here to stay first.

If You Could Add A Team to Your Conference Who Would You Like to Add?

Distance Does Not Matter.
Not just 1 team but I would realign West Suburban Conference. Huge disparity between Gold and Silver and what happens to Proviso West every year in the Silver really isn’t fair to their program or their athletes.

OPRF and P West to Gold and add Riverside Brookfield for 10 team conference.

Add the 5 Naperville schools to the Silver for a 10 team conference or pretty similar type schools. I don’t love locked conferences for football but that just makes a lot of sense to me.
