So if those season tickets holders didn't re-sell their tickets for profit then this wouldn't have happened?
Not at all the reseat would happen regardless along with this . When you have season tickets the university literally tell you it’s a privilege and they can be revoked for a number of reasons.

Okay. Just the way I read your post, it made it sound like it was the fans "fault".

Or for no reason. But of course they'll always give at least one answer.

There are fans that have had season tickets for decades that are grandfathered in and don’t pay the current donation level that goes with the seats that they are sitting in . Believe that’s what OP talking about and they is the biggest reason for the reseat.
The grandfathered seats are going away though.

Season tickets are a privilege not a right. Those VB ticket holders were never using their tickets they sold the season tickets every year for multiple years. There are plenty of people that want season tickets for VB so Dannen just made it easier. Those season ticket holders we warned this might happen if they continued. I guess they thought the university was bluffing.
Fair enough, but my point is that Dannon just had to bring it up. There really wasn't a reason to. It really bothered him.

This has to be a parody account, right? July 9th whining? It’s been done for weeks, and what he claims didn’t happen
Its either a parady account or it’s a legit season ticket holder who didn’t want to pay the new prices and got stuck with the cheap seats. Probably the former though.

Ya, because if it’s VB or men’s basketball ( next year) and football in 28. . The season ticket holders are always getting first crack in the reseat

The reseat was done weeks ago… not yesterday. No way the process took that long.

Ya he was not telling The Whole truth about the last minute switch on priority. Looks like everyone was notified in April early may on their time to get the reseat. As you say he is probably just getting to choose his tickets now and he probably had to move further up to keep them and he is just butthurt .

I am guessing blackshirt because he mentions the 4 tickets specifically like that’s what he had . Rereading just post looks like he is pissed because non season ticket holders( Nebraska leadership request) who happen to give 25k got the chance at 6 tickets over season ticket holders.

Holy crap. I had no idea. It’s absolutely hilarious someone like that thinks they have a right to buy a certain number of tickets. Then to broadcast it over social media? Yikes

Which of these 2 potential ticket buyers would be more likely to put dollars into the program/NIL?

I think what he is upset about is non season ticket holders who give the Huskers athletic fund more money than him got priority over season ticket holders. I basically agree but the world is run by Money and Athletics at these universities are no different.

He is being a baby and crying about something he was informed about previously. He ignorantly tried playing the waiting game instead of cracking that dusty wallet open (just a little makes a big difference). Just look at the types of comments on his posts. Low IQ Husker fans will believe ANYTHING. Just look at some of the stories about past coaches and administrators that pop up here. Easily disproven nonsense, and the same knuckle draggers just keep trotting out the same retarded nonsense. These types know their audience.

This. If you look at the priorities in the chart posted above (which was sent out months ago), an existing season ticket holder who contributed $5,000 is selecting seats before a non-season ticket holder who contributed $12,500. And, he could have gotten credit toward his donation amount by pre-paying the seat contribution for the year. Just a modest (tax-deductible) donation would have given him a chance for good seats, instead Mr. Tightwad contributes almost nothing and complains that he will only have a chance for seats that are in higher rows than he would like.

Tax-deductible? You sure about that?

"Donations tied to seating or priority points: These are not tax deductible. The tax law effective in 2018 eliminated the previous 80% deduction for contributions made in exchange for the right to purchase season tickets or to receive priority seating/parking points.
General charitable donations: These are tax deductible. Contributions made directly to the Huskers Athletic Fund or the Nebraska Athletics Department that are not linked to seating rights or tangible benefits qualify as charitable contributions. "

Money towards seating and parking are no longer tax deductible. I think the group he is upset about is the non ticket holders giving 25 k getting 6 tickets.if he would have stopped there it wouldn’t have sounded so bad . But he had the throw in fans are abandoning the program which is not correct I am sure .

""Tyler Kai is Nebraska’s deputy athletic director for revenue generation and the point person on the volleyball reseat.
He said the athletic department prepared for “doomsday” when it came to the amount of donations and season ticket requests. And it ended up being an “Armageddon” amount, with tickets selling out July 15. That left four of the final 12 selection groups out of luck.
“Up until game time you have no idea exactly why these things will work,” Kai said. “We just have to do our absolute best to be clear, transparent and analyze this as much as we can so we could make the pivots when we had to.
“We saw more (donation) upgrades than we have ever seen before, which is really good. But it became challenging on the back end of this as we tried to protect our season ticket holders as best we could to still give them a chance to select seats.”

Originally, fans were allowed to select up to four tickets. Because of how quickly tickets were purchased and to protect those picking further down, fans selecting later were only guaranteed two tickets and capped at the amount they had in the previous season.
“We can never truly predict what people will do, or select,” Kai said. “We track it as closely as we possibly can and have as aggressive projections we could possibly think through to set those maximums.
“It felt like we would be able to make it through, but we had no choice but to make that change.”"

Guess the reporter guy was correct

I like the explanation and it makes sense. I would love to see his acting skills with how sincere he came across as he then left to his office to celebrate how much money this initiative made vs what they had originally planned … which in fairness is exactly what I would do if I were in his shoes.
