Call your shot now for the basketball season.

wish stayed. Jelly, yr 1 didn’t go so well but would love to see if he could have developed.

stud. Some obvious answers here but going with McBride.

dud. I think this will be the go to for most but Hawthorne. Hard for me to see a guy that can’t play last yr being a main contributor this yr.

I would have liked Otega or Aberdeen back as a two guard.

Besides Milan, I think McBride will be a stud.

I'll go with the younger Hawthorne; I guess my glasses have too big a blue tint but I don't see any other duds yet.

I don't wanna call him a dud but I'll be quite surprised if Braydon Hawthorne turns out to have been worth the wait. (This coming season. He sticks around long enough even I can see he will help us.)

We differ on Jelly v Aberdeen but otherwise I'm right there with you.

Great minds think alike. I do think Momo will also be a stud but I said McBride because I think that will be the surprise.
Yeah, I believe McBride is going to be really good too. I think a lot of folks forget the number of injuries we had last season. I believe this will be Pope's best team, better than his first squad, which was a solid group

From his pickup tape he looks like the real deal. He is very fluid for a big guy. Has a nice looking handle and shot.

Stay - Jaland Lowe - I think if Lowe would have been fine to be a backup, it would be nice to have a three-headed monster of guards. (or compete for a starting spot)

Stud- Momcilovic

Dud - I think I will go with Kam Williams. He won't have an easy path to playing time with Momcilovic in the lineup.

Kam's minutes will be defined by McBride. If I'm correct and McBride is a stud than he's the 4 and Milan is the 3. If McBride struggles then Milan goes to 4 and Kam is the 3.

Hopefully a healthy Kam takes a step and forces himself on the floor regardless of who's on the roster.

Kam will start imo. I’ve said it before but I think many put way too much weight on judging any individual player from last year’s dysfunctional team. I don’t know what the issues were but they were there.

From being way too hard on Oweh or acting like Chandler and Kam can’t dribble. There’s going to be some guys that left UK that show out next year.

Again, I don’t know what the heck last year’s team was doing offensively but it sure as heck wasn’t conducive to the success of anyone other than Aberdeen or Oweh and that’s not a knock on them.

Not sure if OO and DA needed the ball in their hands to be what they were or it was just we needed them to have the ball in their hands at all times, but both are players that score their points in bunches. Thus making our offense look clunky and led to scoring droughts and slow starts when they were not on.

But your point is exactly why I wish we could have held on to Jelly. Think he can develop nicely and would actually like to see what he could do in the zoom offense.

I would have liked to see Aberdeen stay. I realize he may not be eligible but if so I think him and Zoom/Wilkins would be a great fit.

I think the floor will be open and Zoom is going to be a stud.

Little concerned about N’Diaye and his overall basketball skills at his age. Hope he proves me wrong.

Stayed: Only guy I had on my "want them back list" that left was Chandler, but just don't know if it was in the cards to have him come back to be a backup which is what he would be, and the wanted starter money.

Stud: Wilkins. I think he's going to be one of the mid major standouts who move up and take their game to another level. Until we got Mocilovic he was my most anticipated addition.

Dud: N'Diaye. I hope he proves me wrong but there've been too many euro bigs come over and struggle to adapt. He was an inefficient three point chucker overseas.

Stay: None. If I have to have one, Jelavic.
Stud: Wilkins.
Dud: Hawthorne, but only because he hasn't played competitive college ball yet. His breakout will be as a R-SO.

Stayed: Chandler (but I too would have liked to see how Jelli worked in year 2 - think he develops - I also like Lowe, but not for what this team needs)

Stud: Wilkins, Zoom and Milan

“Dud:” Z Hawthorne (only because I had to pick - I think he needs a couple of years)
