Tague Davis returns to Louisville

Big news earlier tonight.

Tague Davis made it official. He is returning to Louisville for his junior season.

The portal is closed, and he's back!

Love the video that U of L did (see below) and excited to hope to chat with Tague soon.

Really hard to tell because you have to believe the agents and coaches!

But I can tell you baseball is lacking compared to other sports. I had heard for the past season that $800,000 was a very high-end type of guy. Was told if Tague went elsewhere, he could have likely gotten $1 million. Even had one agent tell me he would be the highest baseball portal guy ever?? Didn't happen.

Was really never about the money for him, I don't believe.

Have also heard the baseball portal this year - the market is higher than it was a year ago, of course.

Good on him and his family and representatives. He made a commitment. He's seeing it through. What a rarity these days. I'm sure he's getting paid and his loyalty rewarded, but, that's life in today's NCAA. Tague seems like a good kid. And, I'm probably in the minority, but I dig his defense as much as I do his offense. He's a top 10 MLB pick next year, IMO.
