Had you made a point it may have required a “rebuttal,” but your response demonstrated you don’t know much. And, I am not here to teach you.
I asked what shoes he can handle that kind of job and you had ZERO reason other than he’s good at his current job which that’s very debatable. It’s not hard to report what you are told by agents and handlers then delete what you got wrong.

So wait, you're telling me he's probably not going to listen to the local travel agents and Los Angeles County aficionados here who are determined to believe a young talented guy will hate Southern California?

Kinda shocked by this development tbh.

I don't know about that. I spent six days in LA last January. It was beautiful out there. Guys hooping on the beach courts, walking the piers in short sleeves, maybe a light jacket at night.
Came home to KY to 2 feet of snow and cold as hell. I love this state, but there is a reason a lot of folks head to warmer climates in the Winter. Which, by the way, covers basketball season.
California is the most beautiful state in the country. But, it’s still the land of fruits and nuts.

Location is always an overrated topic. There's positives and negatives for both LA and Lexington but if he chooses UCLA it won't be because he thinks he'll be bored to tears in Lexington and/or hates horse farms and if he chooses UK it won't be because he's suddenly developed a hatred or disgust with Los Angeles.

Wait … he has relationships with agents, handlers, and players? Who knew? I don’t follow predictions. Does he get many wrong? Is that your point? Is admitting you got bad info related to the potential GM spot? You are hyper focused on one event and generalizing that event to my comment. Enjoy your day.

Having a relationship with those guys for reporting news isn’t close to the same as being able to negotiate multimillion dollar deals. Also being able to comb through the BS of what is real and what isn’t. Jack pilgrim has relationships with all those guys as well. You think he would be a good GM? I know a ton of AAU coaches and players being a coach. Would I be a good GM?

What did Evan Daniels do in the past? What does Evan Daniels do now? If you think the path between what Branham does now and the GM job is a stretch you have not been paying attention.

And, I don’t know if you would make a good GM. Give us some background.

He’s an entry level agent not a GM of one of the biggest brands in college basketball. That’s a massive difference.

If a person can evaluate talent, identify talent that fits a coach and the coach’s approach, manage depth, and has strong ties to agents, “handlers,” and players, that person has the foundation for the GM role. You do not have to be an attorney and work the details of a contract to be a GM. Most businesses that contract are not lead at the table by JDs. Do you personally know Branham? You have minimized his skill set to one event and then admitted he has the contacts necessary for the job. I never said having contact was the job, but you acted like he would not be able to navigate sports agency and then admitted he does just that for that one aspect of his job you seem to think is his whole job.

You must be under his desk or something. Yes as a GM you better be able to understand contract stuff. What talent is he identifying exactly? And just seeing what players are good and creating a cohesive roster are 2 different things. That’s why I assume Daniels is an agent and not a GM. Building a roster is not an easy job especially with NIL playing a part now too. I would not trust a “recruiting writer” to build Kentucky’s roster. If you do then that says all I need to know about your basketball knowledge.

Yeah folks get upset when they dont get what they want and take it out on the guys trying to find out whats going on the best they can like they have anyting control of what a 7 year old with handlers will do in this new game of free agency offers coming and going.

Travis is one of us, a local get that made his way in the business doing good work to get where he has and not all making predictions that he has to make at some point along the way on all of these even when its fluid and can change in an instant. I know Travis and his family, big UK fans, actually coached him in youth basketball way back when.

No offense to Travis or any of the other insiders making "crystal ball" predictions. But if those are ever to hold any weight whatsoever, once you pick one, it should be locked in forever and you should take the L on the chin. And your career success rate should show that. Even if things change and it's obvious they are headed elsewhere. If you are confident enough to slap a crystal ball on your prediction, stand on it. Otherwise, it's just a guess and means absolutely nothing and makes you look unreliable, fake, and searching for clicks and clout.

Exactly. He is solid at reporting stuff and getting clicks but he has fallen into the rush to put it out first culture lately.

I will say he is way better than that Dylan guy above. He’s a massive joke. He deletes post nonstop and just steals info.

I'm officially putting in my Crystal Ball today for Marcus Spears Jr to UK, Level 6 Confidence...

I will also be reserving the right to switch it like a roulette wheel between Texas, LSU, and UK at will as rumors emerge. Subscribe today...

Does that make me an insider? Am I doing that correctly? Or do I need to open a Twitter account and create an "agency" as well?

Again, no disrespect to Travis. He does great work (outside of all these rushed half a** predictions).

Why? UCLA has coaches he’s familiar with on staff and more playing time. Also I would bet more flexibility on the 2nd year than we would give. He’s being recruited for year 2 not year 1 anyway. He might be in portal soon as season over like Aday Mara was there.
Nothing is ever a miss with Pope according to some on here...

It’s a miss but it’s not a miss that hurts us. When you go after as many players as he does you will have misses anyway. Only got 15 spots. Can’t take everyone. Some misses definitely hurt and mean more. This one imo isn’t a huge deal at least for year 1. Like stokes was a huge miss until it wasn’t because of Milan.

I get why Pope would go after this kid, but hell it just makes everybody look bad now, Was Pope unsure of his guard depth? If he does nothing now, what does that tell us about the team?

It was a 2 year play not a 1 year. It was a depth piece this year and starter next year. We are fine without him. He wouldn’t start over Wilkins or zoom this year.

Depending on Mason Williams as your backup point guard is the real problem IMO but Pope likes to learn the hard way.
Mason isn’t the backup PG. One of Zoom or wilkins will be on the floor at all times. They both can play the point. Also Mason is going to shock a lot of people on how good he will be. Morton is this years Jasper imo on how he will be used.

So who plays the 2 while the other is at the point? Neither can shoot.

Kam is going to play some 2. Morton will as well. Kusturica would def have helped with that depth but he wouldn’t have started. If you think Wilkins can’t shoot you will be happily surprised when you see him play. He can def shoot. Watched him a ton at furman as I live not far from there and he is a star in the making. His catch and shoot percentage is elite meaning he can shoot. Zoom catch and shoot is pretty good too.

C&S 3PT % & Total:
Zoom - 37.5% (18-48)
Wilkins - 37% (40-108) [ Unguarded C&S %: 41.2% (Elite efficiency when left open) ]
Kam - 41% (25-61)
McBride - 43.2% (35-81)
