In the late 1980s, in Chapel Hill, I remember Pizza Delight and Gumby's. Pizza Delight was really good, had a very interesting taste.

Second the Randy's shout out, I love them. Johnny's pizza is decent as well, Rosati's when I'm looking for deep dish.

Jets is the best chain pizza around, really like it as well.

If I were a billionaire entrepreneur competing with the likes of Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos in the modern space race, I would name my flagship craft "ROCKET2U," in honor of the hit song by The Jets.

Anybody familiar with Pete's Pizza in Danville, VA? It's a family owned place that's been around for about 60 years. I had an aunt who lived near there when I was a kid and I remember their pizza being delicious and absolutely loaded with toppings. Based on the pictures online it's still loaded with toppings.

My favorite small chain in NC is Village Inn. Sometimes I'll grab one of their specials (supreme) to go when passing through Statesville on the way back to Winston.

If you grew up near Asheboro, High Point, etc.....you grew up with Sir Pizza. We all love it. But "outsiders" usually hate it, lol

Item 9 is a food truck in Wilson, NC. They sometimes have crab dip pizza that is really delicious. They also have burnt ends BBQ pizza that looks good but I don’t eat pork so I don’t know.

also recommend Mamma Mia’s in Wilson for white pizzas.

We have a Marcos Pizza across the street. I like it. Bacon, spicey sausage, pepperoni on a thin crust square cut. I realize it’s very bad for me, so I do not have it very often.
