I wasn't going to watch the Yankees last night but they were still playing after I watched a movie. I joined them in the 6th inning to see Sonny Gray had a no hitter going and Rodon had a 1 hitter going yet he was behind 2-0 because of errors. The Yankees rallied to tie the game in the 9th getting to Chapman. After the Yankees scored 2 runs in the 10th inning I laid back thinking the Yankees were going to finally win a road game in extra innings. I should have known better. Boone brought in Cruz. That dude has never had a clean inning unless he enters a game with no one on base. He just cannot get anyone out with runners on base. And he failed yet again giving up 3 runs. Boone should have walked the last Red Sox batter to set up a possible double play. I don't give a damn if it was the top of the Bosox lineup you have to set up a chance at getting 2. They were going to win anyway if the batter put the ball in play so set up the freaking chance of a double play. Instead Boone pitched to the batter who promptly won the game. And Cruz is a damn joke. And so is Boone. I get so tired of them showing him in the same old spot on the dugout steps chomping gum like cow chewing cud.
Got home last night just as the top of the 9th was starting for the hitless wonders. The Sox right fielder did all he could to gift us the game . After the top of the 10th, it looked like the Yankees would steal one. One of the most disgusting losses I've ever seen, and I grew up in nyc during the 50s and 60s watching a ton of games.
Didn't even see the winning run. When it got to 4-4, I knew how it would end.

Watching the Yankees right now and this team is a joke. They have 1 hit in 5 innings. The Tigers are up 7-0. They have only won 12 road games. On 3 straight plays Bellinger dropped a fly ball, then the Martian collided with Jazz who was barely on the outfield grass knocking Jazz out of the game, next play The Martian ran into the wall. Weathers threw 60 pitches in the 1st 2 innings and 5 runs. Rice and Bellinger are a combined 5 for their last 79. The Yankees are arguably the worst team in baseball right now.
Because Hal doesn't care. He's not like his dad. It's all about profit with him. The Dodgers are now the new Yankees. Spend what it takes to win.
Jazz needs to be on the trading block but I doubt we could get anything in return. He is good for at least one dumb or lazy play per game.

Well I was all kicked back ready to watch what I thought would be a pitchers duel between Schlittler and Skubal and I'm pretty sure the Yankees are under some kind of curse. Cam has never given up 3 home runs in a game and he gives up 3 in the first inning to the lowly Tigers and throws 36 pitches! Yanks trail 4-0.
They did get 1 back as Rice just homered but I think I'll find something else to watch. With this anemic Yankees offense I don't have much hope they can score much off Skubal. I'll hang in a few more innings and see how it goes.

Well, I'm done. Cam just gave up another home run. Makes no sense. 6-1 in the 3rd inning. Already thrown over 60 pitches and Boone just chomping on his bubble gum and no one warming up in the pen.
The Yankees will finish June with a 12-14 record. Over the last 4 Junes they are 52-54. Pretty pathetic. Heading into tonight's game they are batting as a team .127 over the past week. There is no way in hell a Yankees team should be hitting this bad. What does the hitting coach do? Yankees again with only 1 hit tonight so far. Cam only got through 4 innings tonight and his fastball was only hitting 94 on the last batter he faced. Just had a bad night.
Just watched an absolutely pathetic exhibition of baseball again by the Yankees. 3 hours of my day gone. At least it was a day game and now I can enjoy some normal TV tonight. I miss George. He would not put up with this crap, but he would have built a championship team and not this crap team.
And as I was typing the above post the Yankees have tied the game in the bottom of the 9th with a solo home run by Rosario and thanks to Jazz for stealing 2nd and 3rd bases and scoring on a wild pitch. Volpe killed the inning getting caught stealing 2nd. On to the 10th. Yanks have been pretty good at home in extras. We'll see. UGH Cruz in for the Yankees. Yanks have the best record in baseball at home in extras. 2nd worst on the road.
I don't know who is the biggest joke, Doval, or Boone for bringing him in and leaving him in as he gave up 4 runs in the top of the 11th. I would release his *** today. He had an 0-2 count on the batter needing one strike to end the inning. He was throwing 102 mph fastballs and then decides to start throwing all kinds of breaking pitches nowhere near the strike zone walking batters walking in runs and then allowed a 3 run hit by a .192 hitter on a curve ball. Who the hell is calling these pitches for the Yankees? 7 straight losses and the 2nd time in a week they tied a game in the 9th inning and then gave up a croooked number in the 11th. TheYankees have played the Tigers 6 games in 10 days and the Tigers never had to use their closer. Sad.
Even with all the injuries, Yanks should never lose seven games in a row.
The Yankees hope of bringing up Lagrange to work out of the bullpen is on hold. He's gone to the IL with a shoulder issue which may derail him for several months as far as coming to the Yankees. Another pitcher to the IL in the Yankees long list of pitchers with arm issues.
Rodon headed to the IL now with elbow issues I don't know what the hell kind of strength and conditioning program the Yankees have but it needs to be investigated and changes made. All the arm issues with the Yankees pitchers and leg muscle issues with everyday players needs to be investigated and revamped. This has become beyond ridiculous.
The Yankees snapped their losing streak! This despite Cruz doing his best to blow it in the 8th inning loading the bases with no outs. I don't know why Boone goes to him so much. That was the one stressful inning. Cole still doesn't look right and I hope it's just rust and not age and wear and tear. He's such a perfectionist and had words with Boone in the dugout between innings after being told the 4th would be his last inning. He got his way and pitched the 5th inning and got the win. Lol
It was nice seeing Grisham and McMahon back allowing players to go back to their regular positions. Defense should improve now.

Hate that the Yankees sent Spencer Jones back to the minors but there is no spot for him now that Grisham is back and at least he'll be playing everyday.
Brendan Beck brought up from the minors to pitch today. First career start. Been on a roll in the minors. We'll see how he does today.
And he walks the first batter. 2nd batter rips a line drive off the wall. 1-0 Twins. He'll fit right in. He hasn't shown me much. All off speed breaking pitches. Looks like a non pitcher pitching.
3rd batter hits a home run. 3-0 Twins. Is this the only option the Yankees had today? Really? Smh

Because of all the injuries I would really be surprised if the Yankees made a managerial move during the season. He should have been canned years ago.
I think they're talking about after the season, should the Yanks actually decide to move on from Boone. Of course, Hal never fires anyone, so don't hold your breath on that one.

I’ve stayed away from this thread…and the Yanks in general, for about 2 weeks because I have been so disgusted by this team and this miserably pathetic 3-12 stretch. They lost a series to the Twins…the freaking TWINS. Minnesota has been the Yanks designated slump buster for over 20 years
But I saw a bit from Buster Olney that I had to comment on. He said the Yanks should be all over the Giants to pick up Luis Arreaze. I’ve been BEGGING for the Yanks to bring Luis A to the Bronx for years. All the guy does is hit. And he’s going it yet again this year batting his usual .320. His defense has greatly improved under the tutelage of Ron Washington (well known as the best defensive instruction coach in the Majors for decades). I DONT CARE THAT HE DOESNT HIT HOME RUNS. THE MAN IS ON BASE CONSTANTLY. And by doing so and hitting in the upper part of the order, he would be plating a run almost every damn game.
PLEASE. Give me Luis A, a catcher, and two good bullpen arms, move Weathers to the pen, and this team will go toe to toe with Dodgers once Judge, Fried, et al get healthy. Even with ******* Boonie on the bench. IF they do what I ask AND FIRE BOONE / HIRE AN OLD SCHOOL manager…they can win the whole damn thing

I understand how you feel. All Yankees fans are fed up. Yesterday was the first time in a long time Yankees fans booed from start to finish.
I, too, thought about staying away because I hate being so negative all the time but I need to vent, to have an outlet to vent with my fellow Yankees fans.

Yankees batters struck out 17 times tonight and only had 3 hits, all home runs, but won 5-1 because Schlittler pitched his *** off like usual. Yankees are saying it's still going to be 2 months before Judge plays but he was jumping around and high fiving everyone in the dugout after Ben Rice hit a home run.
