I’ve only seen the first few episodes but Spider Noir is really fun and watch it in B&W
I flipped back and forth at times from color to B&W just for the different perspectives.

Good series overall. A little more contained than I would've liked, but that's pretty much consistent with comic book shows nowadays. Zero risk-taking or building to potential future seasons or storylines or deeper lore/world-building (or MCU building in this case).

I also wanna note to anyone that will listen that the intro theme vocals make my ears bleed. I can't stand this trend over the past decade or so of the cursive "indie pop" style singing that sounds like baby talk.

It's garbage and I get the feeling that everyone knows it, but is just unwilling to tell these young singers the truth..............I'm not one of those people.

It needs to die.

The McAndrew Board, come for the football talk, stay for the incisive movie criticism.

Widow’s Bay finale sets it up nicely for continuing the mystery into S2. They had to know they were being renewed.

Anyone watch Criminal Record on Apple TV? I thought season 1 was good, but season 2 was much better. Apple does a really good job with their programming.

Another season of Slow Horses is coming in the fall.

Final season of The Bear now streaming on Hulu,
All episodes available. Just completed it and it was an intense and good conclusion to the series. I’ll miss these characters.

I never watched but was Anthony Head’s role already finished?

Public service announcement: Larry David’s new series on HBO/Max debuted Friday: Life, Larry, and The Pursuit of Unhappiness. Avoid at all costs, what a stinker. Larry puts himself in historical situations and tries to do a Curb approach but man it’s just awful. A lot of him shouting and acting hysterical. You have been warned!!

Watching this season of, the bear. 2 episodes in, it is unwatchable. Think each episode was like 18 min and 20 min taking out commercials. It jumps all around and it is not realistic in anyway. Will watch one or two more maybe but so far, ugh.

I did not go back and search through the entire thread but has anyone else watched Mr Inbetween? Aussie show about a hit man, dark comedy mostly.
Man, I’m bringing this back from 4 years ago. Watching this show now. Love it!

People with Disney+ should check it out. Originally a show on FX. Hilarious and dark.

The first episode of the Lantern's series dropped yesterday on HBO Max and I thought it was very good.
A little more detective than Super Hero so far.
Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre are very good together, especially Chandler.

Curious to see how 'big' they go with the GL universe (introduction of other Lanterns, etc.). The animated show for GL is one of the best I've seen. I haven't watched the new show yet (was with the kids at Spider-Man last night) but it looks promising. I will say Guy Gardner in the Superman movie was the best live Lantern I've ever seen....

I'm interested in that as well and it looks like the Manhunters will be introduced and I saw that Sinestro will be in it as well as Guy.
I was a big fan of the Justice League Series.
Did you like the New Spiderman? I was not a fan of the last one with Dr. Strange, but then I haven't liked the last 2 Dr. Strange movies.
And yea Guy Gardner was the best thing about that Superman movie.

I really enjoyed the new Spider Man movie; I've never been a big Spidey fan (when I was big into comics, it was never on my pull list save the McFarlane series). But Holland is a good Spidey and he has great chemistry with Zendaya/MJ (obviously), and it works really well. I also like that they had a couple of guest appearances from some of the best MCU characters, and that helped. But, 20 minutes into the film I'm like - wait, who is the villain in this? And when revealed, I was shocked, even though I shouldn't have been. Big thumbs up and pumped for Doomsday.

Old enough to remember when Clint Eastwood was attached to Wolverine and the best 'Marvel' movie ever produced was the Dolph Lundgren Punisher movie. We're so lucky to have seen so much good comic book material (not just Marvel) turned in to amazing films/shows (MCU, The Sandman, Umbrella Academy, Joker, Nolan Dark Knight Films, Burton's Batman films, etc.). Fantastic Four was never a big favorite of mine (I was mostly an X-Men/Wolverine fan so Excalibur, X-Force/New Mutants, X-Factor, etc. were my jam). Loved Peter David and Dale Keown's Hulk run too. I do think the FF film they just did was really well done and captured the spirit of the FF perfectly. Maybe missed on Galactus, but thought everything else was fine.
