I would have John James and Randy Thomas on that list somewhere.
Who are you replacing? Although, Randy Thomas is one of my favorite players ever that has worn the Maroon and White. That guy bled it. I've never seen a State athlete care about the other sports as much as he did.

I'd have him over Gabe Jackson.

@Brian Hadad is doing a series with his new co-host to get him caught up on some Mississippi State football history. In no particular order, I have...

1. Charles Cross
2. Pork Chop Womack
3. Kent Hull
4. Elgton Jenkins
5. Gabe Jackson
This is a really solid list.
Randy Thomas is probably interchangeable with Pork Chop. Thomas was an elite NFL OL for 6-8 years.
Wayne Harris was really good on the OL with Kent Hull.

I wouldn't replace anyone named with Dillon Day, but he deserves a mention. He was kind of dirty, and he wasn't the best, but he gave his all. Give me 5 Dillon Days and I can win a bunch of games.
I will never forget the hissy fit Les and LSU threw following the beat down in Baton Rouge over Day’s “stomping” of the LSU players. I don’t recall a player ever receiving a suspension after the conference reviewed footage days after the game ended. Had LSU won, it would’ve never been brought up. But they just had to find something to ***** about after being embarrassed at home.

Sure, it was a dirty move by Day but the way LSU bitched and moaned about it was impressive.

Feels like he should be there. Major difference maker on those early Mullen teams. Made those offenses so much better than they’d have been without him.

Great player, but if you’re limiting it to 5 some great players get left off.
