Is he a track athlete? Extreme speed?
I guess so not sure if he’s a track star I don’t know too much about him but from the articles I have read the guy is extremely fast
With us being a run first team running behind consistently one of the best OLs in the nation, I'm always surprised we aren't able to snag a 4 or 5 star on a somewhat consistent basis.
Since Shonn Greene in 2008, we have only had two players, Kaleb Johnson and Tyler Goodson, be voted First Team. I can seldom think of an Iowa running back who has made a splash in the League. Not even Greene lasted very long. Our running back room has always been serviceable, but never full of elite talent like I think it should be. We don't develop RBs as well as say, the OLine, where we turn 3 star players into elite talent. I'm hoping this is the year that Moulton finally breaks through, but I'm open to someone else if he doesn't make any progress. I still think Iowa should absolutely be in the running for 4 and 5 star RBs regularly with how run heavy we are.
Iowa hasn’t landed a top 25 running back since 2014 per 247. Honestly pretty mind blowing for as successful as we’ve been as a program and how we’ve been a “run-first” team. Top 25 at a position isn’t even that tough of a hurdle to clear.
Edit: By comparison Wisconsin has had six top 25 running backs since 2014. And that doesn’t include a bulk of their studs of the past (Bielema/Alvarez era). Also doesn’t include Braelin Allen, who was listed as a safety.

I had always hoped we would get to that level of consistency that Wisconsin had at running back, but it never materialized. KJ was really the closest thing we've had to elite in the back field in some time.
I truly didn't understand what went through Goodson's head that he thought he'd make it in the league to leave early - he was obviously getting terrible advice. I thought he was on the cusp of being elite in his Sr year which would have hopefully given him his path to the NFL.. of course maybe he was "as good as he was going to get" and tried to cash in while he could. Still wish we'd have gotten 1 more year.
I thought TG was similar to Albert Young. Had a lot of potential but neither seemed to loved to run through contact. It took until KJ’s junior year before he got there. Most guys either love the contact or avoid it. Hard to teach.
Definitely looks shifty and fast. Good looking competition he played against as well. I don’t think he’s near the 6’0” 205 he’s listed at though. Looks more like 5’10” 185 but that’s fine as a HS junior.
Yeah, I thought the same and he was like 185 but dudes a bruiser but can absolutely fly… kinda aback we need as a home run threat
Had bruised/cracked ribs much of his junior year. Actually got good advice. He MAY have gotten "better" senior year, but with the 2022 OL (yikes), he also would have likely played the whole season with "nagging" injuries.
He is still in the NFL. Played on active roster with the Colts last year and looks like signed with the Falcons now.
