When I was about 8 years old we (the neighborhood kids) used to run around and call each other retards. Shortly thereafter I realized what retard meant in reference to a person and I stopped using that phrase it just seemed like the right thing to do.

Are you 8 years old?

So? What does a lineman's opinion have to do with how important a receiver is? I'm not sure what your point is.

By the way...quarterbacks don't hate their receivers.

Also by the way....your statement that linemen hate their receiver teammates and don't consider them football players is pure nonsense,
Just when you think people can’t have any more stupid takes we get his gem and the double and triple down on stupid.

So to use is he saying Iowa OL hated RVZ, gill and wetjen last year? Minus DJK I doubt many WR in kf era were hated by the OL.

as for wr not mattering tell that to USC and wr lemon who basically reason they beat us or IU and phenomenal play by their wr in title game, the playoffs, and basically all year. Or how many times less talented Purdue teams beat us due to unbelievable wr play.

lastly he goes by his own experience. Well just because someone experiences something doesn’t mean it’s a fact, a trend or the norm. Maybe his was the minority cause from mine and most others who played can’t say that this was the case. But again that’s the short minded ignorant take a person makes that if they had a bad experience with something then it must be true for everyone else.

Holy hell!!! Where do you come up with this stuff? READ BETTER.

I never said a darn thing about Iowa lineman and receivers.

I never said receivers don't matter.

And I find it hard to believe you've never heard of lineman not caring for receivers. We have a couple in this thread that are obviously aware of lineman not caring for kickers. You don't think that can also extend receivers, especially given their personalities?

Guess it doesn't matter what you think. I've merely shared my experience, which includes having heard the same thing from many others. And I'm not sure what your problem with that or any of this is

Take it you never played football.

Lineman hate receivers on their own team. 🤣 Don't even consider them football players. Quite common
Please enlighten me if it is “quite common” who else thinks that? Or examples at Iowa since it is so common. And don’t consider wr football players. That’s I first, I’ve heard that for kickers, but wr please give us details and examples to that idiotic quote of people who don’t consider them football players.

I never said receivers don't help teams compete.

How about this? Receivers are the least important position in football. Is that a more agreeable way to put it?

I guess I'm not sure which games "actually matter" to you, and which ones don't. But I certainly don't care what your definition is, either. I can promise you the Iowa players and coaches don't care either.

And the whole "wins over ranked teams" narrative is thoroughly laughable
So you say wr are least important then claim you said that you never said they don’t matter. I’d say least important position on the team is calling them insignificant. Do better read your own post.

Your exact words: "lineman (sic) hate receivers on their own team. Don't even consider them football players. Quite common."

Then added to it: "WRs are the least important position in an offense"

So according to you, it is quite common for lineman or linemen to not consider WRs real players but you weren't implying IOWA linemen feel that way about WRs.

Ouch, that's the garbage that retard is posting lately? Pretty disgusting to put those words in the mouths of players. I wonder if he would be man enough to tell our OL to their faces that they hate their own WRs? A fat loser like him has no idea what its like to be a part of a real team and the brotherhood that comes with it. But running your mouth comes with the territory of being an uneducated clown.

So you're fine accepting it for kickers, because others have posted it? But you want to question me about receivers?

I don't need to provide examples. I've told you my experience. If you want to question my experience, that's on you.

I've spent my entire life around athletics and coaches. And I can't count how many times I've heard receivers and kickers, at least jokingly, referred to as "less than".

But so I don't have to "argue" all day with others, about what my own experience has or has not been, here's one story.

Was amongst a group of people one day, and must have been telling one of my WR jokes. In the vicinity, was the father of a well-known (former) NFL QB. Later on that day, he comes up to me, unsolicited, and starts chatting me up about how his son says the craziest people in football are receivers. Says I wouldn't believe some of the stories he's heard about receivers

Ol' Eyes may have evolved to a higher/different plane (from "Unique").
Or may not have. You'd probably have a better chance of surmising, if you didn't have me on "ignore".

But perhaps not. The "ignore" feature can just be an excuse for those who desire to hang in the ladies' room together, anyway

No I said as many of us over the years have heard from countless players, coaches, tv announcers how sometimes kickers are considered that because it’s obvious lot of them are smaller, less athletic etc. don’t be naive and act like you never heard of it.

however I’ve never heard same about wr. So I ask for examples bring your receipts and you have none minus you claim you were around when you played or coached which makes me question where the heck that was at. Which I question because especially HS in Iowa lot of wr are great athletes that play both ways especially lower levels so I’m calling bs on that. You think you are the only one who played or coached? Heck you were just called out in another thread by a poster who played OL on your bs post. and then try and act like you know a former nfl qb. And for his comment big difference being crazy and not considered a real football player. But keep on deflecting.

No, you didn't say that about kickers. But I do see the typo now that led to my misinterpretation.

But I'm not sure where your confusion comes from. I'm not acting like I've never heard it with kickers. I previously used the similarity with kickers as supporting content, myself. 🤣

It doesn't matter what you think of my examples. Because again, I owe none. I'm not questioning your experience. Why are you questioning mine?

Because you have no examples that’s why. Of all the posters you are always the one asking for people “to prove it”. Simple request and you have none and when you were called out.

Well then, you know me to be a person who has equity built in providing supportive content.

I have again provided examples, here. I'm sorry they aren't good enough for you.

I don't know if you're looking for names, or what. But as for the NFL story, I will not be providing a name. The man has passed. And I probably wouldn't anyway.

Again, I've already gone beyond what I owe you. You are the one choosing to question what I've told you to be my experience. The burden of proof is on you.

I will not be giving any further examples, as I take offense to the fact that you can't take me at face value. Get a life

You haven't produced a single name of an OL who doesn't think a WR is a real player. That is your opinion and yours alone. That is fine until you try validating that opinion by claiming others feel the same way.

I make fun of WR. Unsolicited.

But there's no way, in my experience, that I would have ever heard anyone else say something like that. SMH

No. It is a basic question in response to a statement you made. I am calling BS on you. I have been around football in one capacity or another since I was old enough to remember. I have NEVER heard any player suggest WRs weren't actually players
And I have not questioned your experience.

Well, you've heard of it now. And, "not actually players", is a figure of speech. Meaning not considered of as a highly, or respected/trusted as much. Or simply, made fun of. As, all was also described with another figure of speech in this thread, when having said, "lesser than".

Not sure what your problem with any of this is

I have found that lineman like receivers on their own team
I have found that lineman hate lineman on their own team
I have found that lineman hate DB’s on their own team
I have found that this is true of each position group. Thank you for the deep insight.

Craziest does not equal less than. Some of the craziest people would chafe at being called ‘least important’ due to their ‘craziness’
Not a very good flex to support your position.

I've not heard that either at any time while involved in football. Again, maybe you heard it at the junior high or lower ranks? Guessing again that is where your expertise lies.

You are extremely good though at taking threads off the rails. Much like a tween would do. Congrats!!
