If Putin is deposed he might be replaced by somebody who is ready to negotiate a peace agreement. It would probably be based on the Istanbul agreement of 2022 where there would be a cease fire, Russia would keep Crimea, and they would negotiate the eastern regions of Ukraine. I would be stunned if the agreement would be to relinquish all areas currently controlled by Russia.

Not sure you are really paying attention. Crimea is going to be the first one they take back. It’s the easier one now that there is no Black Sea Fleet nor air power. Citizens are fleeing and they are going to cut off the rest when they are gone.

Dayum. What a badness for air quality and the earth at large.
This amount of pollution should have taken many more days and have been somewhat “filtered”… minimized.
This war is awful for air quality world wide. It is not a minimal amount of nasty, but rather years worth in a day…
