One of the best ever. The dialogue is hilarious, and I feel like I catch something new every time I watch it.

I thought the movie was a little sanitized. Other than that I loved the entire show.

I saw some of those arguments online when I was looking up why Brazanov didn't make the film.

I guess I don't recall seeing a tit at all, but I feel more people died in the movie than in the 3 seasons of the show.

Just didn't feel as gritty and grimy. I don't know what the stats say but it felt like a more PG-13 version of Deadwood.

I really would like to see what would have happened if both it and Rome were made 5-10 years later. Both great shows that ended too soon, think they have longer runs today.

They canned Rome due to production costs and reportedly the BBC not wanting to keep the partnership going after the second season. First season cost 100 million.

Glad you dove in! I can tell you this, it's a show that rewards rewatching. There are so many tiny acting choices and small moments that stand out when you do. Al Swearengen is one of the great characters in the world. My favorite is Doc Cochran. Incredible.

Also, the wife really enjoys the Alma-Seth potboiler scenes. It's for everyone!

Fantastic show. I've watched it 4 or 5 times over the years. Due for another rewatch any day now

The one that blows my mind is Dan in Deadwood is Warren in Something About Mary.
Also funny that Dillahunt plays two roles in Deadwood.

His breakout was in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Dude has been around a LONG time. He steals a lot of scenes.

Deadwood is one of my all time favorites. So many standout performances. Ian McShane, Powers Booth, Olyphant, Kim Dickens, Paula Malcomsen, Gerald McCraney and so many other perfectly cast smaller roles.

Maybe unpopular, but I’m kinda ok with the short run. As much as I’d like another season or two it never had time to lose it’s footing with nothing more to say.

I think part of what keeps its memory bright is a lack of any blighted, drawn-out seasons filled with nothing.

If "Dexter" had ended after four seasons, it would be remembered as one of the great powerhouse stories of all time.
But it ended in eight and is a total, watered-down joke.
