I did not. I knew of him and our Trove readers saw the inside SJU info I posted about his passing. I get that info because I know the SJU SID who previously worked in the same capacity under Willard.
What happened? Wow.
The testimonials say it all. And so widespread. I recall the story when Pitino brought him to SJU otherwise did not know him. But like many impactful people, you don’t need the spotlight.
