Zohran Mamdani’s introduction of Brad Lander was about character.

“He brings a kindness to this work.”

“He brings a sincerity to this work.”

“He brings a vision of politics that is more than what we’ve seen for so long.”

Then Mamdani compared him to the kind of neighbor Mr. Rogers used to talk about before introducing him as “your next Congress member.” I

n an era of outrage politics, that’s a very different pitch.

MAGA....get to know one of the newest Squad members. They'll soon be scaring the S out of you on FauxNooze by merely mentioning her name

Why should we abolish ICE? I understand people are upset about what was happening last year, but we need borders and immigration enforcement.

Because its name has forever been tarnished. FYI there was no Homeland Security and ICE pre 9-11. Both were created in 2002 under the guise of protecting us from international terrorism. Under Trump they have been ruined and politicized into a personal army with political agenda, something people warned about when you start a “Department of Homeland Security”. It always has had a bad nazi ring to it and it took Trump and his bootlickers to use it that way. We can easily go back to the the Immigration and Naturalization Service and the United States Customs Service for immigration enforcement and do away with a department that can be abused and transformed into brown shirts.

Jamie ran for Senator in SC and was soundly defeated and now does this for a living.

He should go be a republican and help them lose. Those two things are what we get from him and the democrat consultant class. Even better, he should go work in another industry. He's terrible at this.

So she’s gonna predict the earth will end in 12 years if we don’t pay the rent of people who don’t want to work? I see she’s against deporting murderers who are here illegally. So she’s got that going for her.

I have long been a big fan of AOC but her cautiousness is why I don't think she is ready to run for president. She needs to take out Schumer so Lander can send Gillebrand packing two years later. Had she endorsed her former chief of staff, we would have won Nancy Pelosi's seat in SFO. Now we will have another do nothing corporatist in a very blue district.

Last night also demonstrates the problems with AOC’s don’t rock the boat strategy. Since she has refused to endorse against sitting members, she is on the sidelines of a movement that she herself helped to kick off and logically should be leading. Missing the entire Dem Tea Party at the federal level because the once insurgent is now a de facto incumbent protector.

He points out that one of the two senators from Wall Street, the horrifically bad Kirsten Gillebrand, called Mamdani a jihadist. F her all day long. She truly sux.

Man, dems really do know how to pick em.. America last losers.

It is funny to see Dan Goldman lose and George conway take 5th place in his race, but it is still wild to see the democrat party be taken over by outright communists. Thankfully we already have existing legislation to break up the party and scatter it to the wind if they really want to go this direction.

ICE is a rogue agency with a budget larger than the vast majority of militaries in the world. They routinely violate the rights of people, work as a personal militia for the president, and are filled with some of the scummiest trigger happy losers who couldn't hack being a cop. Shift its responsibilities back to other agencies

Majority Report clip from either Monday or Tuesday, prior to the election

Towards the end, Sam highlights the importance of having strong leftists in deep blue districts. They set the tone. They shape the conversation that takes place through out the party and nationally.

Completely disagree with Krystal here and she's missed the point entirely. She's being a leftist wrecker, which isn't surprising since she and her husband are basically professional podcasters.

For California, Chakrabati got smoked, distant third place. Her endorsement doesn't move the needle. Scott Wiener seems good at least with housing policy in the bay area.

For NYC though, she and Zohran are running a two man weave. When you have multiple players you can run multiple weaves. Zohran is endorsing in federal congressional races but staying out of the smaller state elections. AOC is staying out of the federal congressional races but endorsing in the smaller state races. They're using each other to exert influence where they can while also avoiding pissing off the wrong people, people they will have to work with.

Unfortunately Chevalier has some pretty dumb views on Ukraine and interracial marriage (of all things). However her opponent was a gutter racist, so good riddance

Calling Lander a radical socialist is hysterical. He was the city comptroller! He's a liberal zionist!

For the Foxbrains, anyone who isn't full MAGA is a communist. I wasted 10 minutes this morning trying to explain to one of my very MAGA fraternity bros that there is such a thing as a right wing democrat.

Jennifer Welch: “What happened in New York last night are the citizens standing up against corporations, against fascism, against MAGA, against corporate Democrats, against establishment Democrats, and this is hopefully going to sweep the entire country. Not wanting to fund a country that intentionally targets children is not radical in the least. It is radical, homicidal, and genocidal to kill kids and then to call the people who oppose that antisemitic ********. This is the biggest bunch of gaslighting fuckery on the planet”

I'm no fan of Hunter but he is spitting some gold lately

I'm not running for office. But if I were, these are some of the lessons I'd take away from what happened in NY yesterday.

1. Authenticity is measurable. Voters can smell a focus group from a mile away.

2. Endorsements from the current Democratic leadership now read like warnings. The establishment wing of the party is no longer a sword. It's a question mark.

3. Conviction beats caution. The candidates who said hard things about rent, about who pays for what, about Gaza, they won. The triangulators lost.

4. Cost of living is everything. Everything else is wallpaper.

5. The middle is not a strategy. It's an empty room. Voters reached past the establishment to grab someone who actually believes something.

6. Don't fear the base. Court it. The Democrats who ran from their own voters lost. The ones who ran toward them won.

7. If you want to lead a party you have to be willing to fight inside it. Mamdani didn't ask permission. He took the field.

The lesson under the lessons: the country is tired of being managed. People want to be led.

Majority Report Wednesday show aka victory lap

Morris Katz, a political strategist who worked on Mamdan's campaign and is currently with Platner's campaign in Maine is the first guest today. Not surprisingly, he is dropping knowledge with a vengeance. I will post a shorter clip when it is posted

"If you ignore the cause of Palestinian liberation you do so at your own peril," John Tarleton (
@TheIndypendent) says in the wake of Mamdani-backed candidates sweeping the New York primaries.

"This is going to put more wind in the sails of a potential Alexandria Ocasio Cortez presidential campaign."
