Currently expected to be interim but some reported he will likely be given the job full time. Former head coach Dusty May is apparently skipping town ahead of NCAA punishment for portal tampering.

Maybe he will come back when we get rid of our coach at the end of the year.

I am thinking it's more like "I may as well coach pro basketball if I am going to have to deal with annual free agency (transfer portal) and contracts".

I hope Boynton does very well. He was a good soldier in his playing days and had a very strong SR year .... he seems to be a man of character and with the issues over the years with coaches (both FB and BB), they need someone like him in place ....
