Ah yes, The "las vegas for senior citizens". Outside of table rock lake, I've got nothing

I’m taking my wife and 2 kids (ages 4 and 6) for a few days in July. Plan on visiting Silver Dollar City, White Water, the lakes, Butterfly Palace, and the wife wants to take them to the Promised Land Zoo. I may need to schedule inpatient voluntary psych ward commitment for the week after as I am not looking forward to this trip. I will say Wonders of wildlife Aquarium 40 miles north in Springfield is really fantastic. It is next to and affiliated with Bass Pro.

You might like Dogwood Canyon Nature Park near Lampe, MO if you want to get out of the crazy Branson area for a day. You can hike, bike with the kids, nice views/waterfalls and you can get a pretty good meal there. We hit that on our way to Arkansas to see some other canyons/hikes a few years ago.

Ouch. Those places are hell on earth, but heaven will be your ultimate reward. I wouldn't wish your trip on my worst enemy. Hang tough man.

We’ve stayed a few times at the Lawrence Welk Time Share and it was nice. Close to table rock as well as Branson.

We alway went to Silver Dollar City while there. Fun place for both kids and adults. In Silver Dollar City you should visit Marvel Cave. Definitely worth the time.

Definitely Silver Dollar City.

Rent a pontoon for Table Rock

Sight and Sound theater if you’re religious. Amazing place

1/2 day tour of College of the Ozarks (self guided. Go inside and they’ll give you a CD that highlights the campus. Very pretty. Overlooks lake Tanneycomo. I like the vintage tractor museum.

Dogwood Park is mid. Its flat, easy to walk, about $20 a person. But, it’s pretty much manmade, so kind of phony, but sort of pretty too. There is no water to drink, so be sure to bring some. You can walk, bike or tram.

Shows are great. Prioritize the Haygoods. They sell out, so check and buy ahead.

pink jeep tours would be a great way to see the Ozarks while someone else drives

Downtown area was just remodeled. They have some fun stores.

Branson Landing is your spot for bougie shopping and dining. Not a fan. But, the light show along the water is nice. There’s a zipline across the water.

Shepherd of the Hills does a cool live action outdoor drama.

Food? Ozark Pizza, Dannas bbq, Billy Gails, Downing Street pourhouse. Andys Frozen Custard.

have a great time. The kids will love it

Dude, just tell her no

The fighting will start almost the second the drive starts and it will only get worse as that horrible trip goes on.

Indian Point. There's even some cabins within a short walk of Table Rock Lake. Great eating minutes away. Branson is a 10 minute drive away. Spend a day at Silver City which is actually on Indian Point. It's one of the best theme parks in the nation. Has some great thrill rides. Rent a pontoon on the marina for a day or 1/2 day.

Only thing I can say is try to plan your activities/places knowing that traffic absolutely sucks. Think game day traffic downtown Lincoln or Okoboji on a busy summer day, only worse, and for many more miles. Give yourself a lot of time and patience if you are driving through town. As for places you may want to check out my suggestions are (some may be kid friendly): Missouri Ridge Distillery & Brewery, Bricktown Brewery, Turkey Creek Brewery, Taps on Downing Street, Smith Creek Moonshine Tangier Outlets (wife and kids can shop), Smith Creek Moonshine, Full Throttle Distillery Grill & Smoke House.

Looping around the strip isn’t great, but there are the red, yellow, green byways on and off to ease traffic.

This guy is 75 years old. He moved to the US in 1977 and started his comedy show in the US in the late 70s… so he lived 49 years in America and 26 in Russia. How’s his bit even work anymore.
Branson doesn’t know that the Soviet Union collapsed so the schtick still works. I imagine his core audience are people in their 80s and 90s though. Good on him for still working.

Go to the purple buildings along the strip for 2 for 1 tickets. Avoid those timeshare parasites like the plague.
