I read (but didn't post) on Usenet a year or two before joining Genespage in 97. I hopped over here about a month after it started and never really looked back.
I started subscribing to DawgsBite when Joe Dier was writing for it, had to have been mid 70's, probably earlier. It was a weekly tabloid size newspaper1998 gene's

You're right, I totally forgot about Joe starting the mag.I started subscribing to DawgsBite when Joe Dier was writing for it, had to have been mid 70's, probably earlier. It was a weekly tabloid size newspaper
I'm indifferent about it. Just put it in the sticky notes that you will be banned for making fun of soccer during the world cup.Because you and several others were insistent on bítching in every soccer thread that you don’t like soccer. So who’s the real bítch here. You were banned for 4 days, cry me a river.
Yep and it’s still there. MST went back to being independent.Wasn’t there a ms sports talk board in early 2000s? That’s the first message board I regularly posted. Then it was bought out by maybe scout and became the Mississippi highschool page. I tried the free GP and hated it, then landed here maybe 2006/2007. Didn’t post much and don’t remember original username, but been using this one since around the time we fired croom / hired Mullen.
When he went for it earlier from Georgia’s 42 yard line.2006 football season, I was brought into the fold by Sylvester Croom punting from the opponent’s 30 yard line at Georgia.

It could have only been worse if you were in the stadium watching it, just trust me it was worse! When he went for it earlier from Georgia’s 42 yard line.
Actually gene was never a member of bomb. Because he never requested. You had to have a member recommend you.Whenever Genespage started......can't quite remember the year. But I do know that Gene Swindoll started it as a part-time gig and called it the "BOMB" initially. He was working for a railroad in Columbus as an accountant primarily but wanted a message board where MSU fans could share and read information about all the sports. It was a free board for the most part and he got his revenue from ads. Then later on started charging for it as a subscription and he added David Murray. As time went on and they got bigger, made a lot of money, he quit his job at the railroad, and hired some more reporters most here have heard of. Then I think his wife quit her job too and went full time with him. So basically he went from being an accountant to a webmaster over a pretty good sized MSU sports website.
