Sorry. I didn’t mean to be rude. Not sure where the goalposts started, but I think Pope had an abysmal season last year in terms of results per dollar spent. If he can reverse that, he needs to do it quickly and convincingly. From my subjective perspective, a decent season won’t allay the doubts. Peace.I've had to go back and edit this since I realized you are not even the one I was discussing this with. You have moved the goal post away from what was actually said while being rude and arrogant about it.
The amount spent last season is not a known fact but rather speculation and a significant portion of what was spent was injured and limited or unavailable the entire season. I certainly agree that results must improve in the near future or we likely look to do something different. I do appreciate you taking a more reasonable approach than the previous post and I'll echo your peace sentiment.Sorry. I didn’t mean to be rude. Appears we are out
Give him time3rd year in a row without a roster that has the talent to win it all
By year 6 Pope will this this program rocking.Give him time
Bullcrap. This team is one of 12-15 teams with the talent to get it done. If we have good health we will be right there at the end3rd year in a row without a roster that has the talent to win it all
I think Pope set a side a huge amount for Stokes. This whole recruitment is weird. We had evidently 5 to 6 million to give this kid, but we couldn't afford Caleb Holt at 3 million?
Nothing Pope does make sense.
What makes you say that?I’m not certain it’s over yet. Let’s wait it out.
Im not a fan of Pope at all but this roster with the addition of Milan is extremely talented. We have a punchers chance of making a deep run depending on matchups in March3rd year in a row without a roster that has the talent to win it all
Branham allegedly got the information that caused him to put in a crystal ball before from a family member. His current source is believed to be agents. This very well may be a done deal, but Branham hasn’t shown to be reliably sourced on this recruitment. If another insider corroborates the report, I’ll pack it up and go home. For now, I’m not out. What makes you say that?
The fact that the same guy saying we are out of it gave us a crystal ball pick a few days ago maybe? What makes you say that?
Plus something the recruiting gurus seem to overlook is that Pope is 3-0 (Moreno included in that) since the Frostyette reopened in Sandgap.Branham allegedly got the information that caused him to put in a crystal ball before from a family member. I mean like popes rosters arent natty contenders, this one is notIm not a fan of Pope at all but this roster with the addition of Milan is extremely talented. We have a punchers chance of making a deep run depending on matchups in March
We definitely wont be elite but with fellers like Wilkins, Milan, and Noah on the team it gives me hope that we can score and crazy stuff happens in March.I mean like popes rosters arent natty contenders, this one is not
Truth is we could be anywhere from a 8/9 seed “bad” team to a Final Four squad and none of us truly know. The roster is built out of many unknowns, we have some floor raisers that make sure we won’t be absolutely terrible, but Wilkins is largely an unknown. N’Diaye is largely an unknown. Hawthorne is largely an unknown. And you have several players who can make big leaps. God willing, if we finally can be truly healthy, we will find out what Mark Pope is made of because this roster is ripe for a coach to develop them.We definitely wont be elite but with fellers like Wilkins, Milan, and Noah on the team it gives me hope that we can score and crazy stuff happens in March.
If he is trying to get more than what was already offered then maybe Pope was right to let him walkeh...maybe. but this feels like agents talking to media members to push a narrative to get numbers up
I always want to believe him when he says something positive about recruiting, but man does he strike out way too often. If he goes elsewhere Pilgrim needs to crawl in a hole and shut his mouth. He was acting like it was a done deal.
I think it was more that Holt didn't want to play with Stokes. And maybe more money is available at this time. This whole recruitment is weird. We had evidently 5 to 6 million to give this kid, but we couldn't afford Caleb Holt at 3 million?

Yep. Smokescreeneh...maybe. but this feels like agents talking to media members to push a narrative to get numbers up
He always does that. I give Pligrim as much credit as I do Joe Adams. Both of em don’t know squat. If he goes elsewhere Pilgrim needs to crawl in a hole and shut his mouth. He was acting like it was a done deal.
Well, that was a terrible read by the coaching staff, and maybe it's why two coaches were removed.I think it was more that Holt didn't want to play with Stokes. And maybe more money is available at this time.
Yeah it was monumentally stupid not to pivot to Holt if we had a legit chance to sign him as a number one option.Well, that was a terrible read by the coaching staff, and maybe it's why two coaches were removed.
You put Holt with the current group of players, and you've got a Final Four team.
G - Diallo
G - Wilkins
G - Holt
F - MM
C - Moreno
Pilgrim had us leading for Collins, Stokes, Holt, Wright, Wilkerson, Dent, and a ton of other guys that didn't end up here.If he goes elsewhere Pilgrim needs to crawl in a hole and shut his mouth. He was acting like it was a done deal.
He needs a long vacation or another job.Pilgrim had us leading for Collins, Stokes, Holt, Wright, Wilkerson, Dent, and a ton of other guys that didn't end up here.
We could have had two Caleb Holts for the money we were offering that bum headcase Stokes. Pope comically called Stokes a "generational talent."Yeah it was monumentally stupid not to pivot to Holt if we had a legit chance to sign him as a number one option.
Please don't besmirch the good name of Joe Adams by comparing him to Jack PilgrimHe always does that. I give Pligrim as much credit as I do Joe Adams. Both of em don’t know squat.
