Just go anyway. You don’t need soccer games for that!We finally disagree lol!!! The next World Cup gives me the opportunity to visit a couple of nations I never would have otherwise visited.

I have a lot of other places to go to before I go there so this gives me the perfect reason to do so. I haven’t been a world traveler at all in my life, unfortunately.Just go anyway. You don’t need soccer games for that!
Checking that list, I was wondering why some have started to spell TURKEY differently. What's up with that ?Interesting comparison of team height in CM. We are in the middle. But look where Argentina is and they are one of the favorites. Height helps but skill matters more
That’s what they’d like to be called…Checking that list, I was wondering why some have started to spell TURKEY differently. What's up with that ?
You need to keep up with world affairs, it was changed several years back.Checking that list, I was wondering why some have started to spell TURKEY differently. What's up with that ?
Dirty play - terrible way to go out. Canada looked great against a decent Qatar team, even before the red cards.Brutal injury to Canada's Kone, think he broke his tib/fib on the tackle by the Qatari mid.
Pulisic was the best player on the field that first game, so it's a big loss. Let's hope the others step up.Super sad Pulisic can’t go cause he was playing great but I like the choice of putting Pepi in because it gives us somebody who’s really good in the attack and he looked really good in the last match he played for us
Happens when you lose two players to red cards.
I don't hate the idea for the team, although it's not as much fun to watch. I'd also want to make sure we get a full 5 subs in for the experience (assuming we're still up at least 2-0 when we start subbing).I'm sure it's contrary to popular opinion, but I'd go much more conservative in this second half and keep some more men behind the ball. Australia is most dangerous on the counter, and it's not like they'll dominate possession if we play more conservatively. Most will want to keep the foot on the gas, but give me a 2-0 (or even 2-1) win and move along...winning the group guarantees we can rest our first 11 on Thursday and make sure no one meaningful misses the round of 32 game.
Stop worrying, you're not the one playing the matches...lol.Our attack is not the same without Pulisic. Australia doesn’t have a lot of skill to be honest so it’s a grind it out win.
If we clinch group tonight with Paraguay-Türkiye tie then I expect they rest all starters- certainly all with a yellow and Pulisic
but if we don’t clinch I think we have to for the win game 3 as winning the group fixes you a much better route than 2nd place
BTW, who did USA bride to get this garbage draw. LOL! I guess that is a benefit for being the host team?Just go anyway. You don’t need soccer games for that!

Remember - Balogun and Pepi won't be on the same field "unless they are trailing in a knockout match."What formation are you using? Balogun and Pepi won't be on the field together unless they are trailing in a knockout stage match.
Poch ran the same 3-4-2-1 formation today that he's been using for awhile now, so I have it like this:
GK: Freese
CB: Freeman, Ream, McKenzie (until Richards is back)
WB: Dest & Robinson
CDM: Adams & McKinnie
AM: Pulisic & TBD btw Tillman, Aaronson & Reyna
Striker: Balogun
Who are you using in a 3-4-2-1?
- Ream being named Captain means he's starting every game which is crazy and an indictment on how bad our CBs are other than Richards. Freeman immediately moving to starting CB when he's a RB also says a lot.
- Richards from my understanding is going to miss at least 1-2 games in the group stage. There's a chance that he could miss the entire group stage.
- If McKinnie is starting across from Pulisic as an attacking mid, then you're stuck with Roldan or Berhalter as the other starting CDM. This is where excluding Aiden Morris for Zendajas or Arfsten is going to bite them.
I'm not going to get them all right and Poch surprised me with this move. At the end of the game when both were gassed, we couldn't break out easily. Against a better team, they would have likely scored by having us pinned in our own end that long.Remember - Balogun and Pepi won't be on the same field "unless they are trailing in a knockout match."
This guy is the mayor of Wrongovia.
Garbage draw. No top teams. The US wins two games so now it's a garbage draw...lol.
This group was noted as the most balanced of the entire group stage.
Maybe learn to appreciate how well they are playing.
Maybe no top team but no garbage team either. All 4 teams were pretty closely ranked coming into the WC.Garbage draw. No top teams.
Did they go NCAA and expand the event? I thought knockout round was only 16 team.Maybe no top team but no garbage team either. All 4 teams were pretty closely ranked coming into the WC.
Answer to your question (such as it was) is yes. Host nation is automatically one of the 12 top seeds. So we avoided the superpowers. Canada and Mexico got the same benefit.BTW, who did USA bride to get this garbage draw. LOL! I guess that is a benefit for being the host team?
Not exactly. There will be set brackets, but through a predetermined protocol, not through reseeding.Coming from a non soccer guy: Do the remaining 32 teams get seeded 1-32 and brackets are set?
