I'm kind of bummed that there are a maximum of two hockey games left for the season, tbh. I hope we get a game 7.
The nice thing about 'sort of' being in a city with a team is that once the playoffs are over, it's a very short wait to the draft, and the prospects camp is usually very shortly thereafter. Always fun to see the new draft picks a little raw, up close and personal, and often sitting at the autograph table for the first time. I remember getting on an elevator at the Caps training facility and holding the door for a young philip grubauer who was hauling the biggest equipment bag i'd ever seen. And then, it's only a month or so before you start seeing guys show for 'informal skates' at the rink.
Yep. Just the US Open, the Open, and ****** Cubs baseball September 5.
I haz a sad.
Not a huge hockey fan but it's been fun watching them in the playoffs. By all reports, they're a top-notch, classy organization.
