I’m all about men using men’s rooms and women using women’s rooms but the Starkville dude was a total douche.

I have a feeling the father is a bit of a douche too though. He could could just ignored the guy and finished his normal business and left. But let’s record it and post your terrified kids all over the internet!

LET ME BE CLEAR! The older guy was a douche and wrong!!
Well, if the video douche was Pain, then this is Pain admitting he was wrong.

Definitely wasn't Paindonthurt. He's cleared.

Who the 17 cares. This is why gender netural bathrooms make sense. A lot of Houston restaurants have a common sink area and then single stall doors for a toilet all in the same location. Then this isn't a problem.

Also there's a lot of double standards here....
This is why all the bathrooms at my house are gender neutral. And women love those things, even the gender-neutral porta potties at music festivals. I was in line once listening to some sociology and English majors discussing the cultural impact of using a toilet after men with poor aim and those unashamed to blow it out in public . They all were planning to switch majors to mechanical engineering.

I don’t know what came before, but I’m guessing he started videoing about the time the guy decided to involve police. Pretty smart in my book, if you’re doing nothing wrong.
This. The situation had already went off the rails. He probably started recording to protect himself. The QT employee taking up for him, apologizing for Ken’s behavior, and the later revelation that the police ran Ken off and comforted the kids says that Ken was the one with poor judgment.

The one in Destin was using this signage last year. Not sure if they still do.
Yeah it’s been there as long as I can remember. I never paid much attention to it until my daughter learned to read enough to see men and women/ladies.

I was a single dad to a daughter for a few years. I usually took her to the men’s bathroom after making sure no one was in there. If there was a female friend or relative around, I let them take her to the women’s bathroom. If I was to take her to the women’s restroom, I’d ask a female employee to check and make sure it was empty and ask her kindly to wait outside if possible to keep someone else from coming in.

That said, the old guy’s behavior was pure trash. Why stand there and make two little girls cry? Why cause a scene when there was absolutely no need? That old man just wanted some attention and there are plenty people who would have given him more than what he wanted.

I’m not really a fan of people getting fired for stuff like this…. But like I posted earlier, it’s a good lesson for people to just ignore stuff that really does not impact you. And this didn’t really impact the Starkville guy.
Honestly I am. If I’m his boss & I see this do I really want this guy working for me? And do I really want everyone to know he works for me? Don’t be an a$$hole. That’s really a good rule for every aspect of life.

He may have been a real estate agent but don't quote me on that.

On one hand, I'd say a genuine apology and learning experience would work and everyone moves on. Would be nice if society functioned that way outside of *** holes committed to staying that way.

On the other hand, if he is in sales and my employee just pissed pissed off most everyone in my community by showing his *** to two little girls, I probably don't have a any choice but to wish him better luck elsewhere.

Well, women's restrooms mostly have stalls with doors on them and until most recently none had urinals. So, it seems to me that going into a women's restroom would make more sense. Shouldn't be any chance for the Dad to see anything and most likely the daughters wouldn't see anyone's johnson. (Hopefully)
Plus, I couldn't imagine trying to get a little girl to sit on a nasty seat with urine all over it in a men's restroom.

From what I gather, the room was not occupied, and the female QT employee was watching the door. Ken got tired of his old lady and MIL having to wait. He’s probably regretting having his manhood taken by Karen and her old mom and was just taking it out on guy and his kids.
The QT woman looked less than thrilled with Buckner

There is a reason that men and women's restrooms exist. You can claim women are irrational for not wanting to share restrooms with men, but they are irrational in the way that virtually all women in western civilization have been irrational for the last hundred years or so.

If you want to take them into a women's restroom, you wait until it's empty. You can ask people to not go in while you wait for it to be empty. You can do all sorts of things other than infringing on their privacy in the bathroom. I'm actually shocked that what I thought was a pretty standard society norm apparently is not. I've seen plenty of men bring little girls into the men's restroom. I don't ever recall seeing men just waltzing into the women's restroom with their girls.
I must be one of the few that is utterly confused here.

How is a woman’s right to privacy in the bathroom any different than a man’s?

Do women have a secret ritual where as soon as the bathroom door swings shut, they all just strip down naked and start scissoring and motorboating each other?

Do women and men not both have more privacy and obstruction to any of their business being viewed in a public restroom than they do even when using the restroom in their own homes (Templeton troughs nonwithstsnding…)?

People make wayyyyyy too big of a deal about dumb shít like this.

I 100% get why he got fired and can’t say I blame his employer.

I know I posted about Tommy Lahren making her husband use the bathroom in the hotel lobby when they stayed in a hotel and some on here agreed with her and said they would do the same for their wife. Wonder how they would handle it?

With that said both of these guys were idiots. The father with the daughters sure took his sweet time as if no women might need to use the bathroom. If you have to do this, get out as soon as possible. The loudmouth was wrong also. Both people displayed zero courtesy and pure selfishness.

I never had problems like that when I was in my early fatherhood time with 2 daughters. Maybe people were just more courteous back then or I just had a very good don't 17 with me demeanor.

So more has come out beyond the original video or at least the clip

He asked the manager if it would be ok to use the women’s restroom with his girls which the manager said was totally fine and made sure it was clear.

The police actually did show up and tell him he did nothing wrong. Douchebag kept acting a fool so the manager and the police asked him to leave. The girls got free food and slushies.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. In this day and age if you act like a dick on camera it has consequences
I disagree in this case. The guy didn't do anything wrong. Didn't assault anybody, didn't say anything controversial. Was just, like you said, being a dick. And I could see the situation playing out, his wife and old MIL in the wheelchair, open the door and are all like "oh my heavens you young whippersnappers" and he springs into hero mode.

The dad did, however, venture into legal gray area (entering a women's bathroom). AND.....something happened before the video that prompted him to start recording. Perhaps he then started being slow and taking his time.

Like I said, it's all freaking dumb. No idea why this went viral. Who the heck even cares.

Well, we have kind of a "no a$$holes" policy where I work. So I don't know that he'd survive if he worked here. Of course, I don't know that he'd have survived this long if he worked here either.

Dude may have been having a bad day and snapped. Appears he's having to take care of a handicapped MIL, I'm sure that wears on you over time.

Or maybe he deserves it.

I'm guessing the folks directly involved deeply care.
They shouldn't care either. Had they cared slightly less and just looked the other way and ate a burrito, this whole deal never happens.

QT burritos are legit. Especially breakfast.
