Kusturica has great handles and playmaking. Especially for his size. We are so packed at the three spot, I have a feeling he would primarily back up Wilkins in year one. And start next year at the two or three.

Apparently optimism is frowned upon by some on this board. Please show some restraint and some grace for goodness sake.
Your lack of pessimism has been noted, howling monkeys in sack cloth and ashes (some suspiciously sporting line beards and chugging Crown and/or looking a lot like some Big Bang Theory cast offs) incoming!

Like a broken record. Where are these official numbers made public so we can all be in the know like you.
You don't think guys like Goodman and Norlander have sources? They talk to dozens of coaches this time of year who tell them what the numbers are in the open market. They share those numbers on their podcasts.

Maybe you should start taking them more seriously.

I mean, it's a myopic argument to think UK can't make it happen financially. Oklahoma is just as poor as Kentucky is and they can afford a pro team. The Thunder have a payroll that is around $243 million just for the players. TV and revenue sharing give them about $160 million, but they have to come up with the rest of their payroll through merchandising, sponsors, state tax incentives, and fan support.

If the people of Oklahoma can come up with meeting the rest of that gap, the people of Kentucky can come up with a fraction of that for a state with a near identicaly population as Oklahoma and a similar average household income. Plus, we're the only show in town. Yes, I understand that OKC has more home games and playoff games, but UK plays 19 home games, plus three exhibitions for a total of 22 games. Even if we pull 15 to 20% of the game revenue that OKC pulls for the Thunder, we're looking at a UK program that could fork out $20 to $25 million annually. This is another reason why Pope wants a 49 game season. He wants more opportunities to increase revenue so that we can have more money to spend on players.

Just take the guys who are in the know more seriously. They're not making up numbers. They are talking to rival coaches who are getting outbid by Kentucky.

You guys acting like he was Stanley from The Office out there dribbling cracks me up. He’s not an elite ball handler but not nearly as bad as you make it out to be.

Chandler had 39 turnovers in 36 games. Richie Saunders had 41 in 25 games.
While I think Chandler is the higher caliber player as well, some of that is he was pretty conservative about when he would put the ball on the floor to force action.

Morton is better suited to take some mintues with the ball in his hands if needed and can make shots so he may fit what we need a little better if if he us a notch or two lower talent wise.

Probably, but I feel like at most, 10 minutes a game can be given to Morton and/or M. Williams at PG. Every other minute should be Zoom or Wilkins.

JMO.
I hope we get as close to 0 minutes as possible. We could play Diallo and Morton together for 20 minutes and each at point with the other on bench for 10 minutes I an ideal scenario. Get this dude and let him play the 2 for the 20 minutes one of the other guards is on the bench.

Won't be a year three, because he is a lottery pick after year two, but I think we get a two year guarantee, and next year, he and Hampton are preset DUDES on the 27-28 squad, with at least one more top 10 HSer coming out way next season.
I think he starts slow, but by the end of the year, Kusturica, Wilkins and Zoom get the lions share of the 1-2 minutes, with Wilkins and Zoom starting, but Wilkins some PG when Zoom is out and Kusturica playing alongside both of them off the bench and Morton getting minutes. They have a similar deal with the 3-4 spots, because Momcilovic can play both 3 and 4, with Kam playing the 3 after Momcilovic or beside him, Uzi playing by Momcilovic along with McBride, Kusturica getting some 3 minutes, Hawthorne getting some minutes, Center is obviously 28-30 min for Moreno and Kepnang 10-12, Uzi sliding to 5 if we have foul trouble...in other words, if Kusturica signs.....
Boys, we are loaded....

I watched some highlights. Kusturica has some serious game. He can also handle and is crafty at getting his shot. He would be a big time addition.

Start at the two or three as in start at SG or SF on his second season! But I agree, I don’t anticipate him starting at the beginning of the year, but he’s going to be getting as many minutes as anyone down the stretch. Not sure how much faith I have in Mom to be our 4, but ideally, you get him and Kusturica on the floor as much as possible together.

Trent needs to make shots in the game...under duress....at around 40% to get time. He got a lot of great looks last season. He has a great nose for the ball, hustles, and gets way more rebounds than most guys his size. But he must hit at a 40% clip in games.
He eventually got gun shy too. He'd have good looks and would pass off making him unplayable.

Sub 40% isn't a huge deal breaker, I could tolerate 36 even from him because of his nose for the ball.and willingness to get on the glass but he has to fire away when he gets the chances to be out there and let the chips fall where they may even if it is 33% again, get the shots up! The more he shoots the more he will hit.

No more Trenton Diabate! Shoot, shooter, shoot.

So, a starter on another team cannot earn minutes as a backup on a contender? Jay Shidler please sit down. You are no longer needed.

Damn I loved Jay Shidler, hadn't heard that name in a long time. Blonde bomber 🥳

We need another bomber 🥳
