Rose more comfortable relieving?
In a perfect world Folger could give you three or four innings. Didn’t happen so now Rose gets a shot. You have to try to use more arms than just three or four guys. Who are we going to pitch this weekend if we win if we don’t at least try to use our day three starting pitcher? He has done it all season. We don’t have that much proven depth in the pen. Can’t burn everybody.
I mean the bottom of our lineup is almost all hitting .250 or less, definitely under .275. Batting averages are gonna say it will happen. I just don’t understand how at our level, we don’t have any bats on the bench

Glass half full…. We’ve GOT to get some pitching innings outside of the “big 4”. At least we got the first pass through the top of their order with a lead and some outs out of Boaz. IMO, better than starting Rose or Glauber and then wondering what you’re going to do after 5 innings or if the starter gets chased. And with some better fortune, he goes 3+. I actually like what Forbes did.
They are too busy swinging in the batting cage to watch what the top of the order is doing.

Agree. Would love for him to find it. No one is rooting against him, that would make no sense. I hope he comes back next year as a solid weekend guy. But he’s not been that this year and continues to get the ball while so many don’t get a chance.
Man, if we can actually hit baseballs and not put so much pressure on our pitchers to be literally perfect...we can beat anybody, lol.
