I doubt they will, I just thought it was a coincidence they both wore 46, a number I’ve never seen anyone wear.

It's because NCAA requires you to only get numbers 1-5 up to 55 for the refs to use one hand on. I think they've removed that requirement though.

Used to be but they're allowing it now. They let Ker Krissa wear 77 for example.
