I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised. This is his best roster yet. Not sure it's FF good, but we should be explosive on offense.
Well, the big appeal for going to Gonzaga over the rest was the playing time potential in year one. Ekanga, Davis Fogle, Luka Foster, and Isaiah Harwell from Houston, will all be hunting for minutes at the SG/SF spot. Adding Ekanga just eats up minutes that Kusturica would've got.
They are basically sitting with the rest of the contenders now.

He will be drafted higher than anyone we have on the roster including Moreno and Momcilovic. Not saying he will be a better player at UK, but he is a higher rated prospect for sure. I don't turn those down personally

Agreed. Be a great add especially for a 2 year deal but I’ll believe it when I see it. Way more playing time waiting at the other 2. But the new AD should bring money as well as pope being out for blood lately.

Have we learned nothing from the Cal years? Get as many legit lottery pick level guys as you can. I'd much rather do that than count on Hawthorne or Kam to play like SEC level starters.
This makes sense when Pope discusses continuity. Money doesn’t seem to be an issue and as long as his stated age is legit and he’s guaranteed to be two years then this is a no brainer.

exactly......we are most likely to be ranked 15-20 to start the year. our roster is far from perfect. if this guy makes us better....do it. deal with spoiled milk down the road. cant fix the roster in january.
I do think we’re one guard short. Get this guy and we’re cooking…not sure who this forces to the bench but who cares? If Pope has proven anything, he’ll play 11-12 guys. Will drive us crazy at times but might actually make sense this year.
