"Sam Williams-Dixon was arrested on Saturday and charged with three counts of larceny/breaking into motor vehicles, three counts of criminal conspiracy, and one count of grand larceny with value of more than $2,000 but less than $10,000."

Adios, amigo. Not sure if we were expecting anything from this guy or not. How much NIL do these guys need to keep them from breaking into cars?

He and his brother went on quite the spree:

On June 7 or June 8, Williams-Dixon and his brother broke into a 2023 Dodge Charger and stole a pair of Rick Owens shoes ($1,400), a Gucci watch ($2,000), a Cuban link chain with a letter “B” pendant ($6,000), $300 in cash, a key fob cover ($100) and a pair of Jordan brand sneakers from the car. The location of the incident was 650 Lincoln St. in Columbia.

On June 10 or June 11, Williams-Dixon and his brother broke into a 2018 Dodge Charger “with the intent to steal items of value.” Specific items aren’t listed. The location of the incident was 650 Lincoln St. in Columbia.

On June 12, Williams-Dixon and his brother broke into a 2026 Mercedes SUV “with the intent to steal items of value.” Specific items targeted weren’t listed. The location of the incident was 737 Gadsden St. in Columbia.

Looks like all 3 of the incidents were right by student housing.

I wonder if there was similar crime spree on the campus of Ohio State, during his time there, but it went unsolved?

Yes. At Ohio State campus: a 2001 Mini-COOPER was broken into and a Phil Petty diamond necklace ($3,000), a R. Brewer MVP silver trophy ($1,500), and a Holtz autographed leather football ($500) was removed. Later the COOPER was found driven away, fired, and burnt-out.

The athletic department needs to have a serious discussion with all athletes regarding keeping valuables in their vehicles.

and I am glad the player was dismissed.

I know. I'm saying if he was a 1,000 yard rusher, here or at his previous school, we would be talking about reasons to keep him.
No we would not unless the coaches somehow kept it from hitting the press. Jadeveon Clowney himself would have been kicked off of the team for this dumbassery.

I have more faith in large programs being able to bury/gloss over these type of things.

Brother takes the blame, charges get reduced just enough to allow for PTI, etc.
