Hey everyone wanted to say hi, and introduce myself

I am a big college football fan, Rutgers specifically (so hopefully not too threatening) and love college football overall
Been a season ticket holder for 30+ years, only missing 3 or 4 games over that time.

My daughter is starting in the Darla Moore School of Business this fall, and South Carolina now is my official "side team"
She is a huge college football fan, has been to well over 50 Rutgers games growing up and now is 100% in to South Carolina in all sports.

I should be down for at least two games this year, and will follow the team with passion

Will be checking these boards frequently, to know more about the team and also some advice on the tail gating scene for games.

Be prepared for galling disappointment interspersed by moments of incredible optimism.

What college football stadiums have you been to?
Are there any interesting/cool Rutgers football traditions?

Maybe you can bring more juju from out-of state than we natives have been able to conjure over many decades.

One of my co-workers is a Rutgers football fan. You are probably already calloused in all the right places to hit the ground running as a Gamecock fan. Welcome aboard.

Yes as a Rutgers fan I am well used to disappointment and pain :)

Have not been to most of the B10 stadiums outside of Maryland, Penn State, and weird saying this but the LA Coliseum (does this count as B10?) Did get to go to Neyland Stadium in 2002 when Rutgers played there as well as Cal Stadium of all places, A lot of the old Big East stadiums (Temple (really Eagles), Boston College, Uconn) and Navy and Army which are great.

Biggest tradition at Rutgers is the fact we are the birthplace of college football, playing and winning the first football game. Nice trivia question for you, Rutgers technically did win a football national championship in 1869. There is a large statue honoring the game outside the stadium and this is where the players go into the stadium through the fans touching the statue.

Williams-Brice at night is a stadium experience like no other! Make sure to get to your seat early enough for pregame when you come.
