Good question. Do you try to see what Boaz/Jackson Rose can do and see if you can get DeCaro fully rested?
I would start Boaz and assume you can put up runs against the other team’s 4th starter. Get a lead and shut it down.

Winning that first game is so so important. Now hope that Troy andWVU use up every pitcher they have left. And I am not convinced it will be WVU.
I think it depends on who you are facing on the mound. If you throw him 100 pitches Wednesday then you aren’t going to have him Saturday for sure and maybe Sunday either.
It might better to go 1 time thru with Boaz and then still have Duff, globe, Rose good to go in relief and at the same time have them available for the weekend.
