That’s atrocious. It’s really cool that they do stuff like this, but I’m also not at all sure as to who their target audience could possibly be. This 4-night trip to Georgia is $16k for one couple.
I may fit the bill in all honesty. I’ve been 3X to masters. Was off the charts each time. Always wanted to take my wife so she would appreciate what I loved so much. But my ticket connection dried up. This may be an option to consider. May not make good sense but may well a a bucket list option for some. It’s really cool that they do stuff like this, but I’m also not at all sure as to who their target audience could possibly be. That definitely sounds absurd when you phrase it like that, but it's a day pass to friday at the masters with access to a hospitality house with unlimited food and drinks. It looks like if you want to be guaranteed a ticket, you have to buy a hospitality package that runs from $4k to $17k per person. Can't find an easily available description of packages, but here is a website that offers packages staying in Augusta for similar prices. It’s really cool that they do stuff like this, but I’m also not at all sure as to who their target audience could possibly be. They're just assuming, as State fans, that all who attend are accustomed to traveling 2+ hours for an event and won't notice that part of the package***That definitely sounds absurd when you phrase it like that, but it's a day pass to friday at the masters with access to a hospitality house with unlimited food and drinks. April 5, 2027 for 2 to 6 nights (variable), hosted by a RoadTrips expert, at the prestigious Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. This iconic event, steeped in history and tradition, is a must-see for golf enthusiasts around the world. Supplier Tour Operator: Roadtrips...mgatravel.com
Their cheapest option is more expensive and it doesn't look like they include nearly as much, but they are staying in Augusta rather than doing the 2 and a half hour bus ride. Which honestly to me that bus ride with a full day at the masters basically means the night before is going to be limited and the day after is probably going to be needed for recovery to some extent.
I bet they could get the numbers for a Gaither concert trip. What the Traveling Bulldogs need to have is a concert trip…
Start off with WSP or DMB at Red Rocks or possibly the Gorge…

If you stay outside of Augusta and don’t mind a drive in, each morning, you can get a “reasonably priced ticket” from a licensed Georgia ticket agent at Major Sports Augusta. Jay and his crack staff will drive you to the front gate and pick you up at the same place each day. If you have never been, it is a way in. The experience with Major Sports was a 10 of 10. I finally used his agency because I was 0 for 40 in the Master’s lottery. Best two golf days of my life and I have (now) been to all four Majors and the Ryder Cup. Augusta motels can be higher than $2,500 a night.
Out of curiosity, how much is a ticket through them? Driving an hour or two in the morning and afterwords at night doesn't seem like that bad of a deal and I'd probably rather just go do that than try to tack on time in Augusta to make it "worth it".If you stay outside of Augusta and don’t mind a drive in, each morning, you can get a “reasonably priced ticket” from a licensed Georgia ticket agent at Major Sports Augusta. Valid point no question.I thought the point of golf was to get away from one’s wife.
I assume that's them trying to do something that appeals to husbands and wives. Husbands get a long *** day at Augusta. Wives get some time at Savanna. Personally I'd rather just do Augusta, even if it's basically driving two days just to enjoy one day on the course, but I suspect they have a better idea of what appeals to the people willing to drop $8k per person on a trip like that. They're just assuming, as State fans, that all who attend are accustomed to traveling 2+ hours for an event and won't notice that part of the package***

I believe the ticket price was $3,000-ish for two days (Thursday & Friday). That price includes transportation to the North Gate and from the lot across the street in the afternoon.
