I have already picked squash and cucumbers this morning, weed-eated, and dumped my grass clippings. I have a few more small chores but will be finished in plenty of time. I don't have a pool so I will be sitting inside watching the game.

Heading to OIB in a couple of hours. First trip to the beach with the 19 month old twins, their mom and my son in law, and son and his wife of less than a year. Looking forward to it all. And the best part is that everyone has attended UNC as undergrad or postgrad students, except the twins and the DIL, and she is totally a Tar Heel now. We'll be watching! Then the Mrs. and I head out to Omaha on Tuesday. Life is good.

Wind is predicted to be blowing pretty hard in from right field for our game. Afternoon, it's supposed to be blowing out to left.

Unless Ole Miss finds discipline in Omaha, they have shown a willingness to chase outside the zone. I hope we can take advantage of this. I feel very confident in Glauber and McDuffie and their sliders against the Rebels. I hope DeCaro can spot his fastball similar to the USC game.

offensively…we just have to hit the fastball. Dave throws a lot of them…and they are fast (97-98). But I like our approaches 1-9 to turn around those heaters.

At least it isn’t mid to upper 90’s there like it is supposed to be here all through the weekend. This would be absolutely brutal weather to play in right now.
