Does TT even have the right to not play him or would they also be liable? Not saying they have any intention of not playing him if eligible, but it definitely puts them in a difficult position.
By that thought process, any player on a team that doesn't get minutes could sue the university because they're hindering his future earnings potential by not playing him. I know that's ridiculous, but most of this anymore is past ridiculous.

Hey, it's Texas Tech. They're just following their dictator's MAGA playbook. Do whatever the hell ya want, and make up bullshitt in a ludicrous attempt to explain the inexplicable. Buy some judge, and lie and cheat, and then lie and cheat some more. And just keep on doin' it and dare anyone to stop you.
Are you aware you extreme lefty anti-Trumpers have now become the crazy people that everybody else has to deal with?? Are you proud of yourself?

??????? Since when does any team have to play any specific player? They could make up any BS for why he's not playing. The AD's statement was all BS anyway, so that would be right in line. Hell they could say his recovery is the most important thing and it would not be prudent for him to play during contest where people are betting on them. of course they aren't going to do that, but its certainly within their power to do so....

Yeah I've kind of given up on the logic of what is allowable in college sports.

Both comments need to be off the football board. That said, simply release the Epstein files, be done and everyone can be proud. Agreed?? And I am not an "extreme lefty" by any means.

While Regula noted the potential pathway for the NCAA's legal battle, a Big 12 general manager who spoke to USA TODAY Sports Thursday offered a much more candid view of his program's current mindset.

"I absolutely do," he said, granted anonymity to speak freely, when asked if he expected to see Sorsby playing in Big 12 competition this fall.

The college sports world, and general sports world, will never forgive Texas Tech for this. This will be remembered during the next round of realignment.

Dan Weitzel, columnist that screamed bloody murder the first day, today penned a column that says TT and Sorsby are blameless and only doing what every school in the country would do.

You know, the cynical " no rules, everybody cheats," take on the topic.

He clearly is ignorant of Iowa and ISU following the rules, unlike TT, and suspending players for the season.

All of these media guys have sponsorships from betting sites but sit there and preach how the schools also profit from gambling revenues

The only way to really get attention is for gambling industry to lose business as gamblers do not trust integrity of games.

Weitzel claims every school would do as TT has...bull crap..no school ever has, so where's the evidence to back his claim?

Evidence? Don't you realize in today's world we're allowed to just say whatever we want to say and expect everybody believe it's a fact.
