There is also a strong subset of folks who are Diamond Heels fans first, over the other sports teams at Carolina. Forbes has done a magnificent job of making those folks feel valued and seen, not unlike Dean Smith’s original devotion to the early hoops supporters. They’re not as big in numbers as football and basketball, but they’re every bit as loyal if not more.

Happy to hear about the increased support. Truly deserved. Hopefully it’s enough to hold steady until we move to a big boy conference.

I know they proposed some additions to the stadium that the University shut down years back when Field Hockey was being built. Would love to see the Bosh grow into what the program deserves! Sounds like a great story for @GregBarnes to find out if increased stadium capacity is on the table as part of the new commitment by the University!
Figure out a way to build standing room only decks in outfield. More room to move on concourse.

Transitioning to a baseball first (or olympics sports first) fan in the current climate is most gratifying.

Take this with a grain of salt, since it's secondhand, but I have been told that there have been some conversations with local architects to move the scoreboard to right-center, just left of the field hockey stands, and building up some seating or standing area out in left/left-center. I'm connected to someone high up in the athletic department via a family member, for context. Don't know all the details, I don't like to press. But I was told there have been conversations.

What is the building behind left field used for? I’ve always thought if they expanded they could just wrap a couple sections around that way.
