There are so many moments like this in baseball. It is a shame that a lot of people seem to not have the patience for it anymore. I like that they have tried to speed it up some, but in a way the slow burn is also what makes it great. When you least expect it, it rewards your attention.I admit I don't follow baseball religiously, but that game had me on the edge of my seat. What a great fun game.
And there are posters that believe Forbes doesn't know what he's doing. LOLGreat piece of writing there, @GraceNugent. I especially love Forbes telling French to lay off until strike 2 and then he is going to get a heater.
and those posters provide my multiple "comic relief" moments ... almost daily ...And there are posters that believe Forbes doesn't know what he's doing. LOL
The length of the game has no bearing, it's truly just the amount of time I have in my life at the moment. I do check the baseball scores and I read the baseball side on thIS site quite often, I just don't have the time to learn the players and watch the games like I do in basketball and football. Although with NIL now that's becoming a futile effort as well. There are so many moments like this in baseball. It is a shame that a lot of people seem to not have the patience for it anymore. Sorry if I came across as talking about you specifically. I don’t actually have much time either (young children etc.) I meant to convey that I wish baseball was as popular as it used to be on the whole because it has a lot of these special moments but just takes more attention. It just doesn’t seem to get traction even with those that do have the time. The length of the game has no bearing, it's truly just the amount of time I have in my life at the moment. I do like the new rules to speed up Major League Baseball. Though I can't say I'm on board with putting a man on second to start Extra Innings.Sorry if I came across as talking about you specifically.
