Not really. Different circumstances leading to it, but when it comes to be embarrassed by our administration, we should be at the front of the line. I was mostly joking, but please don't be one of those tone deaf fans Nebraskans always get made fun of for being. It's a pretty bad look.
I get what you are saying you are right about our leadership’ . But this is an entirely different situation they are backing a kid who broke the rules and trying to make it someone else’s fault.

good portal workaround here should TTU come calling

I'm guessing TTU has already come calling. Kid's probably about to become the highest paid track athlete / football walkon of all time.

EDIT: Just read up on it. Sounds like it is legal, but I doubt it will be this kid at TTU. He's not even listed as a QB for UCLA, so I'm sure TTU will have their sites set a little higher than him.

But, yeah, sounds like a legal solution. Why the hell not?

Maybe Dylan can enter under track ? TT could have their QB.

Similar story...

Terry Rozier was in violation of his NBA contract and will forfeit most of his $26.6 million salary for the 2025-26 season due to his alleged role in a sports gambling scheme while he was with the Charlotte Hornets, an arbitrator ruled last month. The ruling was included in a court filing released Wednesday.

...hope he had a lot of fun, and that it was worth it.

You do a better job sniffing out fake NU fans than I do. I think I just assume everyone here is a Husker fan because if you weren't, posting here would mean you were insane.
This dude is a known Kstate fan I wasn’t sniffing out anyone .I don’t disagree with some of his takes but I I do with this one . Hartzog mad a great play no way that was an intentional interception by Sorsby .

sorsby's betting brings into question everything he did in the past. does not mean this was underthrown on purpose but gambling is always going to make one wonder which is the whole point of why it is forbidden for players.

How do you it wasn't? For all we know it was supposed to be an eaaier interception and the ball just got away from him a little and Hartzog still made the play, it was just a much harder play that was his intention?

Thats why you can't allow gambling. Because it opens the window of doubt

This is none other than Averitas, a prominent purple ***** and very proud of his time at Chevron, as he mentions it nearly every other post.

He has never been welcome here as everything he says is either outright derogatory, or a back-handed compliment.

Years ago he was the pretentious dbag that wrote in all italics. Look at me, look at me!

Plus he is as full of hsit as a Christmas Turkey always!

No, it doesn't bring into question everything he did in the past. There is zero evidence that he bet on any game that he played in, let alone the Nebraska game. The NCAA has records of thousands of bets he made while in college, and none of them show that he bet on a game that he played in. Get lost with your crap.

I’d like to say I was shocked by the ruling here, but college football is such a joke anymore that this is about par for the course. Sadly this sets precedent for college athletes to start betting on their own games impacting the outcome. I know the NCAA will appeal this, but it should have never been ruled this was in the first place… the NCAA needs to get this hearing somewhere outside of Lubbock for it to be a little more unbiased.

Reading that decision and why the judge did it made me lol. Basically said he'd be harmed if he were to be held accountable for this.

...so naturally my first thought was to open up all the prisons and let em all walk away so they won't be harmed.

This was always going to happen

and it should

That horsefaced b*tch (and any who agree with her) will never understand - betting on your own team to win just makes the competition that much more fierce

it’s exactly what we all want in our gladiators

Betting to win - could completely understand.

Betting to cover the spread - entirely different. Prop bets on over-under passing yards, entirely different.

The main problem is a court within the state, or even college town, with a biased judge can over-rule any ruling with an injunction, which means kids can break any rules, and play forever if it serves that local town and their program. The gambling is pretty bad, he obviously hasn't gotten the help he needs for his "addiction", but the fact his "addiction" left the Red Raiders without a good qb, and a judge can merely reinstate him is destructive. I mean, what if a kid gets kicked off the team, and a judge reinstates him because the player files a lawsuit against the team? What if a Tuscaloosa judge provides 80 injunctions so the Crimson Tide can have 200 guys on their roster? I mean the inequality is endless when biased judges get to decide eligibility.
