Watch the Miss St-UGA super regional. Yesterday they hit 11 combined homers. They've already hit 3 combined today and the game's in the third inning. I think most of Miss State's lineup can hit it 400+ feet.

Miss St just hit three homers in a row. Still not touching our record of 5 in a row-also set at the UGA super regional in '06 (20 years ago-I still remember where I was when I saw that).

Been a crazy year for HRs. Personally I don't particularly care for it... a little over the top. Too many nine hole hitter bombs and guys hitting multiple HRs in one game... sometimes three. If I had to guess, baseball is about due for another equipment change. That's what they do, toy with the game. Hope our hire reflects that. Our luck we'll get a HR specialist again and then the changes come and catch us with our pants down.

I believe that was the first game of the super regional. I was at the game the following day. Our pitching was not very good that year.

There was a metal bat broken in the msu-uga game today; announcers said there was one broken in the UNC-whoever game yesterday as well.

Good points. I guess more than anything I miss being a part of the postseason.

Oh yeah, and of course the game and series was decided by an extra inning homer by UGA.

Maybe time to switch to wood bats?

UGA pitching isn't anything special, decent but not special. Their hitting though, they are never out of a game if they have at bats left.
