This has already been posted"greater size"? They are both listed at 6' tall. And Clark has bulked up to about 155Lbs. There's n OT much of a difference..
I think coaching is a problem. But they were .500 with Sides and an uptempo style of play.To me this pretty much all comes down to coaching. On offense, White had NO answer for the pressure. No answer in the 4th, so just let Mitchell take the ball 1 on 5. That's poor coaching plain and simple. On defense EVERY team in the league is going to attack Clark in the lane. Read what Draymond Green said about how they would NEVER let Curray be in that position. He's too valuable to let teams attack him without help. On these switches Clark gets caught in the lane guarding players like Stewie. Coaching....
The coaching has been dreadful, but I guess I'm also lumping roster construction into that, when as you said that's more the front office. No true post, Lexi has been a shell of last years team. They keep Dantas, and even White can see there is NO reason to play her. I laughed when the crazy announcer lady was glossing both teams for their roster depth. Lolol.. seriously? Who's coming off the Fever bench? RJ has had her moments and I think she'll continue to develop. There are no other difference makersI think coaching is a problem. I think the Fever primary problem is organizational. Believing you have a Big 3 when in reality compared to the best teams best 3 players you really don’t.
Roster construction has been dreadful. There’s no good wing (3) on the roster. No interior players. And KM and AB will be defined more by their limitations than strengths.
KM and AB were 13-27 together. Not even CC can elevate that into a title contender.
You could say that on about 99% of her drives to the hoopArm grab and push on CC's drive
There are reasons bad shooting nights happen.Well I'm glad to see on defense Caitlin has apparently said "Fug it, Ima just gonna body and chest up everyone like they do me. Paige last year already said she learned quickly she could get away with a lot more on defense. CC's defense was solid for a third game in a row.
Shooting is still a struggle, but my gosh she is the absolute motor for this offense, and she sucked up 7 boards too. Better Shooting night by any of the "Big 3" and the Fever win. All is not lost, I guess, the season is still less than a quarter complete.
Yep. The foul they called on Hines-Allen standing in the lane straight up while Stewie came full speed and jumped into her was ridiculous. Then Clark would be out front with the ball and Jones would reach out with her arm extended and wrap her up to slow her momentum and NO call. Clark shot ZERO free throws in that game? Its really frustrating to watch these gamesIt was a tough watch. Bully ball for the win. Not sure how to defend the dribble, cup the ball in your arm, lower the shoulder into the chest, extend dribble drive if they are calling the foul on the defense. They are trying to do freedom of movement by calling fouls on brush screens 35’ out but allowing the offensive player to create contact.
CC also needs to work on her timing, she is throwing her head back while dribbling too far in advance of anticipated contact.

The Fever were never going to win that game

Thought that was funny also. They were up 12 in the middle of the third. I think Clark went out for a bit, and then the liberty turned up the heat and we couldn't get across half court without turning the ball over, and Whites over there with her thumb up her back side. 4Q, Oh just throw it to KM and every body stand in a corner and let her go 1 on 5. Coaching is needed during adversity. The Fever seem to lack adjustments or counter measures when things go south. The ‘this is our system and this is what we do’ works when you have the advantage.Thought that was funny also. They were up 12 in the middle of the third. Well, I was live-betting the Liberty the whole game, so turns out, I must have known somethingThought that was funny also. They were up 12 in the middle of the third. They are in CC fantasy land.I rarely watch any WNBA play. But occasionally someone sends me a highlight or I see a comment that raises my curiosity.
Serious question. How do some of you guys actually watch this stuff on a regular basis?
She misses wide open layups with her one handThey need to get rid of KM imo. Yeah she can keep you in a game but seems to me she shoots you out of just as many or more. Dribbles around trying to find a shot to take and always seems to find one she likes. She a black hole that does more harm than good

Portland is about the only team that uses consistent full-court pressure.I rarely watch any NBA games anymore. So do any of those teams play a trapping defense successfully in the NBA? I can't believe Fever couldn't bring the ball up the court! They know CC will be doubled and then whomever she passes to will also be doubled. So someone down court has to be open for a quick pass!!
Am I wrong or what am I missing?
It says nothing of the fever thinking of trading her. It’s just a tweet by a former Laker saying the Sparks should offer a trade. An article on the Fever perhaps thinking of trading CC. I think it would be best for her to get out of there. The FO and coaching staff can not figure how best to play her and build a roster to support her. LA would be huge market for her. Lakers legend drops bombshell Caitlin Clark trade rumor
Any owner that chooses the Front Office or coach over Clark would be the most idiotic thing in league history. The amount of money she has brought into the team in 2.25 seasons is insane. That’d be like the Bulls pulling the plug on Michael Jordan in the middle of his 3rd season. Jordan was on his 3rd coach at that point and finally won his first MVP the following season. An article on the Fever perhaps thinking of trading CC. Ya, Clark is like half the team’s value. Fever will throw a massive contract at her to keep her when her rookie contract is up and we’ll see if she stays or not.Any owner that chooses the Front Office or coach over Clark would be the most idiotic thing in league history. Because we get paid to. You didn't get that option?I rarely watch any WNBA play. But occasionally someone sends me a highlight or I see a comment that raises my curiosity.

She needs to be with a young roster. This old guard bulls--t orchestrated by a blind conductor is ruining what could be an exciting path to victory. Surround her with young talent, and you'll get the youngsters developing with the best playmaking guard and it will be fun to watch. Just make sure you have a coach who's willing to do her/his job, but without restraining the potential of those players. And, maybe take some accountability along the journey.Rumor = some guy speculated on social media
