Zack should heal up right? His injury is pretty gnarly. Would he be healthy by November? Hate to see any athlete aggravate something because they get back in there too soon.

Position wrestle offs to follow

165 - Dee/Casey/Routledge
174- Facundo/Norman/Routledge
184-Berge/White/Zack

Edit: Added White

I think Zack is more likely to go 174. Medical redshirts, while still on the books, are on life support. I don't think we'll see anyone take one willingly.

I would also add a wrestle off at 133 or 141, whichever one Jax is not at.

One unlikely scenario that would scuttle everything would be Landon going at 165. I doubt that happens because it is not the best weight for Landon, and he wrestled freestyle at 70kg (155 pounds). However, I am drawn to that lineup because it opens up another spot between 133-157 where we have a ton of championship caliber talent and squeezes our underperformers into one weight class. I love the idea of making Dee, Facundo, Norman, Ryder, and Routledge battle it out for the 174 spot.

I really would like Dee, Norman and Berge to take 165-184. But I would be happy with whoever takes the spot, because that means they bested the other guys who are also studs!

If someone else takes 174lbs wonder what will Norman do, since he still is pretty young and has 2 more if not 3 more year.

Norman is the best guy at 174. He'll have to worry about Ryder in 2027-2028.

My estimated first guess with all the things that I know right now.

125- Spark plug
133- Jax
141-Raney
149-Vega
157-Robideau
165-Dee
174-Lorenzo
184-Berge
197-Panda
285-Ross

The following is my hopium. Although it might be difficult for NCAA champs to go back to back sometimes.

Potential to remain the same point wise at 125, 133, 157, 184, 197 and 285
Expecting higher points: 149, 165, 174
Expecting lower points : 141
Have we moved on from Tagen J or did I miss it and he’s portaled?

I'm just not sure who he could beat at any of the weights 133-154. Always thought he had tremendous potential but was always just one step below being one of the best at whatever weight he wrestled. I put him in the same category as a Carter Young, 100% pulling for him no matter where he wrestles, he's a Cowboy.

I don't see either Raney beating Jamison at 141.

Well I'm of the thinking (at least right now) that Jax will be moving up to 141 but that's just my opinion. Plenty of time to decide that.

TJ is tough as nails so if he wins the slot then that's fine with me.

I thought that as well last year but now I think he may go 133 1 more year but time will tell. I don't believe that's been decided yet but it's leaning towards him being back at 133

IMHO Robideau is not going 165. He is best at 157 and will be for his career. I think Dee will have to prove to coaches that he is the man at 165 and there are plenty of wrestlers including Facundo, Routledge to test him. I like Norman a lot at 174. I agree that if Tagen could make 141 that neither Raney would beat him. That however is a big IF and if he can not make it without
losing strength and endurance in the process then we may not see him on the mat this year. The Raney's are both going to be super-stars but it may take them a year to mature in the room. BTW Dee wrestled very cautiously all last year and looked to be saving strength for the later part of his matches. I believe it may be an endurance problem and he needs to solve it as he is far too talented to continue to wrestle like that.

Holy shite! Me and Corb actually agree on something lol! No secret Im a Tagen fan, but you know who else is? DT and JK. Theres a reason for that. After his knee surgery early last summer I think the plan was for Tagen to come bk at second semester. As late as the golf tourney he was holding around 150 I heard and felt great. Heard after NDI he was told to gain weight. I think the problem later on was it took a lot longer to get cleared on his knee than anyone thought it would. Great kid, great family, and I'll be rooting for him. I could see some guys jumping in there to give him a pitch count thru the season.

Looking at 141 I think Tagen would be right there with Stanich (ranked #1). The big problem is Bassett.
