This woman made have been shared on here the first time she was arrested, but she just got booked again. In a Hummer, at a golf course, making videos, and even a girl. We are looking at six victims, but you know there as to be more. My question, teachers with students has gotten worse right? This didn't happen when I was in school 20 years ago. Also, it seems like it is more women than men these days.

I don't think it's gotten worse, it just gets publicized instead of getting swept under the rug. For all the jokes about catholic priests, the data says public school teachers are worse, like twice as bad as far as rates of abuse.

I think the ability to easily communicate outside of school has to have made the situation worse.

Possibly but some of that cuts the other way. There aren't tons of times where parents don't know where their kids are. And presumably you are much more likely to get caught now because of technology, although I'm not sure how much that matters seeing how many of these people gladly send electronic communication that will get them put in jail, but surely there are some potential perpetrators on the margin that are discouraged by the higher likelihood of getting caught. I guess possibly it's made it easier for teachers to hook up with kids who don't have parents paying attention and harder to do so with kids who do have parents that are paying attention?

I'm not saying we should be teaching that you should be out getting trashed and 17ing everybody. But also do not be teaching that if you take a sip of a beer you'll be an alcoholic, or if you even think about a girl your body is condemned. People are rebelling against that garbage. I have some neighbors that are Liberty grads and still support it, they are weird as 17. Ever hung around BSU folks? I'll never forget some of the conversations I heard from them people.

I ain't dogging Christianity here so don't even come at me with that. I'm talking about a specific group that may or may not even know what it means.

Appropriate that the story had an ad for a “vibrating device” given that she allegedly used a “sex toy on a video call with at least two teens”.

I may be wrong, but I think fire and brimstone for the most part died out decades ago. At least in the local mega church, and in the churches I see on TV, it's mostly motivation/feel good stuff now (oh yeah, and "give me your money!")

I can fix her.

I think several things have lead to this. As mentioned above, private "outside" of school communication. Also, more women hitting the gym, coupled with "hormone treatments," which include testosterone (working out increase test). I've also read the consumption of "smut books" aimed at women has increased greatly over the last few years (plus much easier to read them over kindle, phone, etc.). Add all this together and women be horny! Add "poor parenting" (easier access to kids in private settings) to that.

Some on this thread are acting like she is a normal person who made a mistake. Now, think if this story was about a man doing what she did. You don't jump to normal you jump to sick, however they got that way. It's not a man, women or religious issue it's a sick depraved mentality and everyone shouting about Epstein should do the same here because it is the same just on a much much smaller scale. She's the same person with less means and probably not as smart.

Cold, callous whatever you want to call me I don't really care about her issues or problems. It is sick regardless of gender and imo it is not something that can be rehabilitated out of a person like this. To blame this on where she went to college is so freaking laughable it's not even worth a legitimate debate.

20 years ago my lab partner was dating his teacher from Starkville High. They had been together since he was a junior there. It has always happened. Just withe internet we hear about it more.

I definitely don't follow evangelical teachings but to claim it causes rebellion and therefore does the exact opposite is silly. There are people preaching and promoting all kinds of behaviors. You got satanists, LGBTQ+, muslims, communists, socialists, libertarians, hindus, buhdists, freelovers and every other possible way a human can act promoting their lifestyle. Truthfully many people that follow some sort of social plan are fine and don't do horrible things and there are plenty of people that do horrible things from every one of those social plans. People act in horrible ways on their own.

I'm sure it was overlooked back in the day since it was a woman with a male student - he and society pretty much considered it a conquest by the boy. This teacher is pretty attractive and only 25, so it's likely that the boys were pretty much enthralled by her.

The picture in the Post article - maybe it's the camera angle of the selfie but her head looks outsized for her body.

When i was in HS in mid to late 80s, the female teachers almost all had taught my mom 20 years prior, so they were old and not of interest. The male teachers were younger. The PE teacher had a rumor or 3 running around while I was in school and 3 years after I left, he did end up getting caught with a female student. Anecdotal but points on the curve.
